daiya (jojo's adventure) shopping list
pink fur 2yard: $16
golden pvc 2yrd: $10
superglue: $3/bottle
rubber sheets: $4/yrd
total:$33
honestly i bought all of these from philippines but i can't remember how much they cost. probably less than what i've written but i'll just put some arbitrary numbers in any case.
This is all an illusion.
But there is truth within illusions.
And when the illusion fades,
the truth will still resonate within you.

Daiya Jojo's Adventure
so i've been coerced into doing this. DO OR DIE! i was told.
...nah i'm just kidding.
still this little female bear is pretty cute. i think i'm starting to like manga cosplays because there's no colors filled in. so it's all up to me!!!
i'm starting to use the rubber i got from philippines! whee! love that i can add textures to it however i want. so these are the cut out shapes for her stand.
then i wrapped them with different colors. it's the first time i'm using super glue to wrap everything. good thing about it is that the color is clear, so don't have to worry about gooey yellow mess. it also dries fast, so it's gooe for joining the little gaps when making circular dish-like shapes. however, it's so super hard to wash off... and it burns when you get contact with it. yeowchhhhhh....
so anyway i got the green color idea since the things around the main baby seems leafy. and a golden face matches well. each green surface is overlayed with a shiny gauze chiffon as well. think i'm gonna be carrying around little baby plantation!
however it seems that painting the base red doesn't really match well. will be changing it. still drying in my living room now. bleahs.

and that weird baby like thingy is called california king bed, a kind of stand (or summon) for the character. of cos there's fan arts on it but i'm totally not gonna follow this color set! what's nice about jojo cosplays is that the author is so inconsistent with the character clothes and colors that you can keep changing it to whatever your heart desires.
and so i've picked pink for her top. sewing it was a bit of a pain because fur tends to fly everywhere. massive clean-up needed after that.
i've got the basic done, but it still needs some decorations and the ears.

Day 8 Kukup, KSL
We woke up for a bit of cereal breakfast + cup noodles before setting off to Kukup.
It was almost an hour journey to Kukup. and sadly because i knew nothing about the place except the seafood, there's nothing to do there really. we walked along the house on stilts and talked, and tried to take in some breeze, but the weather is just so so so so hot...! we rested at a place for dessert, but this guy doesn't eat mango and i ended up eating the whole chunk.
when we finally called for the cab to go, we actually discovered a tourist information area with air con and places to introduce around kukup that we could go to. but what to do. too late. =_____= acks.
so we headed off to KSL for more shopping after that. wanted to find the fish foot spa but guess it's not there. ate the nearby bah kut teh.
we shopped around and looked for a hp cover (for myself, because it was falling apart), but we mostly window-shopped. i did buy a pair of lens for myself though. we then stopped at a cafe to drink because their drinks look so awesome

we went to shop at the local supermarket again and managed to get wine this time! i like muscato because it is such a sweet and fruity alcohol. and at least it is less 'poisonous' than the other alcohols.
we then headed home. kinda wish the day never ends, because when the next day comes, you will have to go... and of cos my wish is never granted.

Day 7 Jusco
"마음에 음식."
got out of house in the noon and walked a little around, and reached a nearby coffee shop where i bought my malaysia sim card for the days to come. then we managed to get some cab service numbers and called a cab to drive us to jusco.
it was a really simple shopping day, like watching a movie, shopping for shoes, drinking at a cafe.
we watched Transylvania Hotel. i love the show.
this picture is from KSL but it was what we watched, forgot to take it at jusco. heh.
we had a nice stone-grilled dinner where the place was so full of smoke smell i almost stank myself to death.
went to get some food at the supermarket together before we left for the day.
it was a shock halfway home because i realised that i lost my key. panicked for a while and then remembered it might have been on the morning taxi uncle's cars and quickly dialed him. thank goodness it was! can't imagine the horrors if my dad found out i've lost those keys T_T it was a good thing that we had to wait for the uncle to come down and pass us the keys, because this blue cab i took charged at a crazy rate!!! only had RM30 for him when he drove up to 50+RM. sorry, too bad there's not enough cash. luckily, he was fine with it (guess he liked us??).
now this is the fun part. when we got home, i went up and suddenly the shower in the bathroom switched on (couldn't get it to work before). then there was suddenly loud bangings downstairs. we went down cautiously as we thought there were dangerous people out there, and soon realised that it was only - my dad. lol. wahhh. what a surprise visit.

Day 6 Universal Studios
checked out at 12plus and went to universal studios today. even though we reached around 2+ and it closes at 7, we still went in all the same.
was a good choice we came - some halloween decorations were up and there were staff already in scary costumes.
we started off with transformers, since it was the nearest ride with the longest queue that i have not tried... xD
it almost looks like a super zai cosplay when you zoom in to that bumblebee o_o
just look at how gigantic it is.
we went on the water ride and as usual, i don't seem to have any luck with getting water splashed on me. heehee.

the ride was really amazing!!!! keke. some more transformers cosplay and craziness going on outside. really well made! yes and he moves pretty easily :o like C4 cosplay. lol.
there's optimus prime too!!!just look at how gigantic it is.
we went on the human and cyclon roller coasters next, and since the queue was so super short (like 5mins), we took cyclon twice. oh the lockers are now free for the first 15mins. not bad!
next was the mummy ride~~~ ohh mr pharoah on sticks spotted!
we went on the water ride and as usual, i don't seem to have any luck with getting water splashed on me. heehee.
we managed to take all the classic rides, and finished on the dot with shrek's 4D.
exited USS and went to walk around the surroundings a bit, ate an ice cream, climbed all the stairs. and found the merlion!
in fact the merlion was a little scary with the eyes... and the colors kept changing to some ghastly glow. perhaps it was also in the halloween mood... {{{o_o}}}
and then we were off back to vivo city after that. walked a little around vivocity and then it was time to head back my house to get my stuff... and to go malaysia!

Day 5 Legoland
i was in such a hurry to get out because i thought i would be running late, that i didn't pack any spare clothes at all. which means i needed to get home again tonight after we come back from Malaysia. bleahs.
it seems that we reached way too early at lavender anyway and we had to walk around, sit around and waste some time. the bus was late! ugh.
we got on the bus and ate our breakfast. mom prepared fried kimchi pineapple rice. love my mom's food.
we reached Legoland about an hour after we set off from Lavender, after all the customs. time to play!!!
first to relief ourselves. their mascots outside the toilets are lovely. they even have sounds coming out from them.
we ate an ice-cream before we head off. walked around the mini legoland.. i particularly love the pirates one as there were smoke bombs firing out from the ship and water sprouting. real nice!
ok i'm gonna just spam all the pictures here.
some of the places had buttons that you could press to see some little actions or to activate some sounds. if not for the ultra hot weather, would have been pretty interesting to observe.
but let's get to our first ride! and we start off with a mild roller coaster, which is actually what i was more of looking forward to.
waiting time was a bit long, but since it was a weekday, the queues generally don't exceed 30-40mins for the longest queue, and 10mins or less for the shorter ones. i had time to spam some sunblock.
not particularly interesting. what was more interesting was the ice cream shop just near it.
we stopped to have lunch at a nearby restaurant, then went to the 4D theatre next.
lego movie wasn't so bad, the nicest part was when the snowflakes all came drizzling down. other than that there wasn't water sprays as i was expecting, and it was more of just wind and movement. shrek is nicer.
we stopped at this kiddy house to take a look and there seems to be a cannon firing war ground. you could feed balls into the machines around and have them spray crazily around, and shoot as many as you can into the 2nd level and vice versa. interesting!!
some interesting lego dinosaurs along the walk...
and we saw mr lego block!
look at how people are getting eaten up by the lego shark.
we went on the boat ride next and i must say i steer pretty well! the students in front of us were basically crashing into each other and stuck at a corner, and i even overtook a girl in front. xP

ride was nice, especially the turns. we headed to the water ride next. you basically stand on a platform and try to avoid the people on the sides from spraying you with water. since it was a rather hot day, i was wishing i'd get sprayed at more, but it seems that i wasn't fated with water. oh well.
that seemed to be all for this section, so we headed on to the dragon land.
the baby dragon one was a ... baby dragon ride. the mature dragon ride was much more awesome!
we also went up a rotating observatory tower... and sat at a section where the air con is spoilt. jeez. so much for a cool inner ground.
and those are all of legoland!
we came to this place to rest a bit. it was where you could build your own cars and roll it down a slope, and compete with other cars. at first we sat inside to enjoy the aircon and finish up the pears. then we decided to build something too.
created this really long car because if the point was to win, then you just have to make one as long as the slope. it doesn't matter how ugly the car is!!! added the wings on either side - so that you can block your competitors from advancing!!! jeez, this competition instinct. hahaha.
we went out to give a go at the 'pull-yourself-up to the top' ride.
we stopped to have lunch at a nearby restaurant, then went to the 4D theatre next.

also stopped to have a little dessert - bread pudding!
we took the legoland express, a mini train ride that goes around the place for sightseeing purpose. steams ahead!!!
there was actually a couple taking wedding shots near the fountain and we joked about becoming their background again. so many weddings lately.... =_=
ooh look interesting structure. from a certain angle it almost looks like he is peeing.
we passed by this concerto exhibit... and suddenly they started playing!!!
"갑자기!!"
we got ourselves a grape slushie (first time i've heard of this, but it's actually an ice-blended). i only managed to drink a little before i was full. but i was barely 20% into the drink. oh well! as i said, i'm not really a drinker...
we departed about 6, after a last ride on the first roller coaster we took.
it seems that from lavender you could walk to bugis, so we walked over there to shop.
we passed by fika cafe, a swedish based restaurant that my sister showed me before so we ate there. decided to eat there. we were actually not that hungry but still ordered anyway, and we really tried damn hard to finish =_=
we then walked to bugis departmental store and around the outer streets.
and i think i received the most amazing present ever.
