the following saturday, i went to yasukuni again (can't help it, class tour)
but before that i had a macdonald's breakfast with stella (cos we got the coupons for 350yen a set). love the mcgriddles!!

so sorry for the repeated yasukuni photos but i promise it gets interesting later :D




ooh there was a performance going on too. but i really didn't understand it. there's just japanese music and some weird ungraceful movements. i think it was some kind of ritual. i was just interested in their costumes.


there was also a bazaar going on. too bad we didn't have time to look on longer.

saw a weird person (apparently from some cult) trying to recruit people. stella says it may be the religion where thy can only marry within the same religion. yikes. sounds city harvest to me.

since it was 12, stella and i decided to go to a more interesting place - todai! tokyo university! yes THE tokyo university.tokyo daigaku, hence todai (i just knew it then and there too). organized by the ladies.

i actually didn't know that this door was that famous. it seems to be a leftover monument from the meiji (or was it tokugawa?) era.


we then went into the medical block upper floors to have lunch. look at the view from there! you can see tokyo dome!


and of cos the entire campus itself.

after lunch, we were given a tour around the campus.
passed by a football field with the soccer-ers wearing all pink. kawaii!

and i bet you didn't know, there's a forest inside the campus... wow.



felt like mitake when we climbed the slopes again...

so through the forest, we emerged in a victorian like haven





the place seriously felt so europe.



then we reached the clock tower. pretty!


we then tracked our way back to the entrance. lovely lamp.

feels damn weird to have a modern looking building here.



i love the buildings so much! they are all so authentically ancient looking! all the way i kept thinking how wonderful it'll be if i could take my cosplay photoshoots here. :(

and that concludes todai.

and in the evening me and stella went to inoue-san's (one of the rikkyo ladies) house for the home visit.
she lives on the upper floors (and in japan the higher you live the more expensive the houses...), and you could see tokyo's night view (like the tokyo tower, etc) from there, and her place is somewhere between harakjuku and yoyogi. it was a quiet and pretty area. and her house is awesome.
felt too embarrassed to take pictures of the food but we had eggplants (andother vege) with a dark kind of sauce, chunks of finely crushed ham rolled neatly into balls, japanese-styled salad and pudding and cakes for desserts. it was delicious! i love home visits!
this is the only picture i have from the visit. the girl on the rightmost is inoue-san's daughter and it seems like she's a budding singer. very tall and pretty with light brown eyes. :D

and now for my favourite event also organized by the ladies club... yukata!
actually it's nothing much other than photo spamming and trying on a set of yukata. hahaha
