and here, photo editing on my samsung f480 HANDPHONE. not too bad. i didn't like my half left-eye so i brought more focus to other parts and used a pre-set effect. not too bad.

we were interviewed during the event! uwahh...

oh gosh i look so horrible!

moo! i made a mistake! my entire cos is $160, but the scythe is only $100. lols. oh wells!

i removed my scythe ring and replaced it with white wires... but wasn't that satisfied so now i removed it again and wrapped it with white wire and metal wire. looks thicker than the previous one but at least it can twirl and hold up by itself instead of drooping with just white wires.

spray painted this morning before i left home.

ta-da!!!! i had frank as my model to layer it and my sis there to style it. (yup that's my sis underneath, while she was watching zettai kareshi for the whole day)

Photobucket

used this super hard styling wax called hex.

looks super nice from this pic, but is only so-so (actually sucks) in real life. oh well. since i kept it back in the bag, it might look worse. have to restyle whenever i use.

worked on the scythe over the weekend and fixed my fishbone. added 2 more rings on the bottom joint too.
all while watching nodame cantabile drama version. i think i got frank and val hooked too. lols. we weren't very productive that day haahah

fishbone tail. now it has 6... uh.. bones?

and last week maomao came to continue working on my scythe. it's now painted grey at the edges and sort of 'oldified' at the blades with sponged on grey parts.

at least now it looks a bit worn out!

we turned a little patch of grass white with all that spraying too. oops.

can't believe i'm blogging on a sunday night.. but argh i've so much to update!
starting with my shinigami undertaker progress.

i've turned my house into a cosplay workshop with val coming over for sewing and maomao to help with my scythe. and frank as entertainment. lols.

here's the base (made of pipes and foam)
Photobucket

then we covered the joints with clay and i tried to make the fishbone bottom (which is taken out now zzz)
Photobucket

then i did a papier marche base for the skull and maomao covered it with clay
Photobucket

ta-da! the skull!
Photobucket

whoopee. now all's left the fishbone edge and the painting.

i have finally finally finished my shinigami suit.
ok the way i said it it's as if i've been working on it for a year. but yeah it was only less than a week (like after work and on weekends). but the collar has been driving me nuts cos i couldn't get the shape right and the insides keep flapping out. will sew on an inner shirt if i can... but i'm too lazy now. so i found an alternative to FIX the collars in place (off-machine sewing heh)
and i got those neat buttons from chinatown, it even has a crest design on it. spray painted it silver to match. happy!
accidentally ripped one of the button holes though... hope no one will take a good close look at it.

added on cuffs too

oh and this was actually from one of the cos-mode template called prince suit or something. i cut the m-sized WITH 1cm round seams, but it was TOO BIG. so next time i should cut the L size WITHOUT seams. luckily i could like sew the sides to 'shrink' the overall frame so it's pretty fitting now. :D SUPER HAPPY WITH THIS. i think i will bring it overseas to wear IF i could sew the inner shirt in time. and go overseas. gahhh.
