Day 7 (21st July 2011) - Akihabara, Ameyayoko

Woke up slightly later to meet shoko and ben at Gundam Cafe, located just near one of the exits of Akihabara.



Even though I'm not a fan of Gundam (except for the unicorn), the cafe was still interesting to look at. The food was so-so, but kinda expected for a themed cafe.

Since we had already finished eating by the time the pair arrived, we went over to maid cafe for dessert instead. I was quite sick of @home cafe's lame dishes so it was good we chanced upon Mai Dreaming, another chain maid cafe. Though the girls were nowhere as cute, the food was WAY much better than @home with a greater selection. The dessert I ordered was a much better parfait too, and the main courses had a larger variety, an looked tastier.

We then took a little walk around Akihabara. I was looking for my Squall figurine and chanced upon Odin Sphere. Nice! Wanted to get some Saint Seiya ones as well but can't seem to find and the rest were already getting bored after a few shops since the things looked pretty much repeated. Akihabara is as usual stuffed full of over-exaggerated porn that never fails to make me sick.

We took a train down Ueno as we got sick of Akihabara, and walked Ameyayoko. At the very start was a shop that sold chocolates for 1000 yen. The special thing was they really put LOTS of stuff inside! There were 3 large kit kats, Ritter sports, a whole chain of crackers, several boxes of biscuits, some Werther lookalikes and I can't remember, so me and Shoko bought and split the loot 8D way more than enough for 4 person!

The rest of Ameyayoko was not much interesting. I took Purikura with Shoko (",) and the machine was one that enlarged your eyes. It also developed stickers for both of us, nice! And only 400yen.o.O love the Purikura machines here.<3





We had dinner at an Izakaya that had a 50% off food offer and ate lots there for only about 1000 yen each. The place is Nijyuumaru and the food is so-so, but at least we managed to have a decent meal WITH shabu shabu. Awesome.









Shoko had to leave for baito after that so i was stuck with the guys (；´Д`A i actually thought it will be hell for me since these two are seriously replica of each other but now I'm so glad they met because they can start to irritate each other instead!!

It was actually quite fun to watch them insult each other, and the ultimately impossible and hard to believe retorts. it is one thing to be cute and irritating, it is another to be ugly and irritating. I'm positively sure I was overjoyed when ben commented Mr She looked like a 30 yr old father even though he was 2 years younger than me. Now take that you fool!!! Nanee Nanee poo poo!! Don't worry, I don't think this paragraph will even affect two ounce of his cyber universal giganto egoistical brain.

Since ben wanted to play the arcade, I had no choice but too follow (too late to go anywhere else too). Ben managed to trash She in everything, GOOD ONE :D HA HA HA!!

We then took a detour to find a coffee shop that Ben had his eye on earlier but ended up at Mister Donut since the other one was way too expensive. Talked till the shop closed at 11, before we went off. Seems like Ben found a new friend to irritate, I wish whenever She is around, ben will be around too now!! Hopefully Hoeman wil join them ad the eldest musketeers since these 3 Guys are seriously too damn similar (except for looks).

Day 4 (18th July 2011) - kamakura, enoshima

Woke up at 5 mins to 5am preparing to look at tsukiji's fish auction but they were closed for the day!!! So decided to reroute and went to Kamakura instead. By right we should have went to Odakyu line to buy their kamakura 1 day pass for about 1.4k yen but since we were already up so early and there's nowhere to get it, we just went ahead all the same.



Reached there at about 830 but it seems like everything was closed or opening late due to Beach Day! At least we got to eat our breakfast at Excelsior Cafe at about 9, and went to rent bikes at 930am.



Bikes with motors are awesome!! Makes you able to climb slope with little effort. The down side is they are freaking expensive... We rent for 2 hours for about 2.8k yen each Dx seriously i have forgotten the names of all the temples we went to and there's nothing that's making an impression on me, so i'm just gonna spam the pictures without titles yeah?







Managed to cover about 5 temples in 2 hours. The only one that was difficult was the benten shrine for washing money. We kept having to u-turn as the road signs led us nowhere and eventually we climbed up a steep road to find a couple coming down from a rocky slope. Turns out that the shrine was a 10 min climb up the slippery hill x_x

We chionged all the way back at about ten minutes late to return our bikes after that.

Since there was the one-day pads, we bought it at 680yen each and traveled about 3 stations down to the place with the huge Buddha.



To get within the compounds as 200 yen, to get inside the Buddha was another 20yen. Gosh, these Japanese really know how to squeeze the hell out of tourists.

We then headed to Enoshima with the pass.



Enoshima is another long climb up hill to another temple... But at least there were shops along the way to look at.

Beyond the temple was the observation deck, which is another 2 flights of escalator up. It's a bloody 190 yen and 100 yen respectively to take the escalator up!!! @_@ didn't want to pay for it so we travel by bus 11 instead.

actually you can already pretty much see what's below once you've climbed so high, so there's really no need to pay to go further...



because it's a 500 yen entrance fee with the observatory deck usage. -.- jeez... garden pathway before the deck... and i have no choice but to go. :/ hate observatory decks...

Nice view, but seriously I wouldn't pay shit to look at a bunch of miniature buildings when I can have the same view from atop a plane or from high rise buildings if I weren't forced in by mr she. So I made him take a lot of photos for me in exchange 8D

So after the view, we went to have a late lunch of naan and curry at the food court.



Not too bad. Continued our journey along the beach as there were lots of stalls set up and many Japanese in swimsuit! Felt like I saw a out a million Vivi models today 8~~D, all with perfect body. Gosh.







Headed to the dolphin show/aquarium around 4. There were 2 different shows going on and we missed part of the beginning at 4. It feels like being a dolphin show performer is really not that easy - you have to dolphin talk, do synchronized swimming, sing, act and dance at the same time! whoooo

then there's some penguins, at their feeding time. all these poor creatures can do is look forward to food. oh well.

The second show at 515 was pretty normal, with a whale included that differentiates it from the other dolphin shows I've seen so far and dolphin singing. Pretty cute. there's also a seal show at the beginning.

Didn't manage to look at the aquarium much since it was closing at 6pm and we were being chased out just after the show. So we took a train to Ueno for dinner after that.

Thought we would be having a random dinner but didn't expect to find Menya Musashi's branch here! Lucky! Not so for mr she since he didn't like fatty meat chunks and it made him sick till the next day. 8D bwahha??

Learnt a very useful word that sums up our whole journey today - looking for seafood (海産), visiting lots of temples (介山), finishing up the day/breaking up (解散)
