121126 Vivi Wedding

and on monday, it was vivian's wedding. this is my sister's best friend since the secondary school years. since we know each other from primary school too, i became one of her bridesmaid. hehe.

it's my first time being a bridesmaid too! we had a couple of meetings before the actual big day to settle some schedules and stuff and it's really not simple work. i followed my sis around and contributed by making the wrist flowers for the sisters.

lovely? tell me if you wanna order from me. LOL.

so then we woke up around 445am to start preparing. i've been too lazy to pack the day before so i needed to get everything ready by 515 - pack, eat breakfast, basic make-up etc. AND I DID IT. in ultra fast speed record time.

we then went over to vivi's house to catch her still in her pajamas. and i went to change in our sister's dress. the rest were already done 'cept my sister, yiting and me. but it's ok, i just need another half an hour to tie my dress and finish the rest of my make up. and i'm done!

we went about preparing all the foodies for the gatecrash. the bittergourd juice was really awful x_x (that green thing in the blender) for the bitter part. there was also chilli paste + wasabi on a nacho chip for the spicy part, then lemon + lime for the sour part and lastly milo + condensed milk + sugar for the sweet part. ughh.

we did post-it, dance and eating games and we ran a bit late on schedule. honestly the brothers were all so tall and big in size that if they decide to barrage their way through there would be no way for us to block =_= so thankfully the groom was able to sort of control them. ahah.

after gatecrashing, we went over to punggol park for a short shoot. and i mean short! the camera man + videographer finished the whole shoot in half an hour!!!!

never been to punggol park but it's a pretty neat place!

ok, before i go into a complete recee mode here's some pictures of the lovely bride and the groom!!

so pretty!!!! really a perfect match.

and then the band of brothers and sisters

and some photos with the bride!
there was also a hand bouquet throwing for the next in line to be wedded... and it went straight to fangping! lovely girl and lovely bouquet!!
we then went over to marcus' place for the tea ceremony, then next to vivian's place for her tea ceremony. since there's not much for me to do i snapped a few random of vivi's son.

kuwahhhh his eyes are HUGE. and he reminds me of puteh. happy and friendly dog and kept looking for xiangling. SO CUTE.

so after the tea ceremony was over, we went over to Trader's hotel at orchard to have a long rest before the wedding dinner begins. we showered and changed for the night. i was the receptionist together with fangping. kyaaa. i had a very nice talk with fangping. *w* she's such an easy person to talk to, and she really listens to you. i hope she gets a nice guy soon!! <3 br="br">

they needed a pretty pen to sign the marriage certificate and this was what was bought. so fancy please.

my sister was the mandarin-speaking mc with kelvin. look how the make-up artist dolled her up for the night! she's never had so much make up before. looks nice on her!!! jinhui is such a lucky guy. pffft.

and then i only took pictures of the appetizer and my fish maw soup that tastes like shark's fin. ahhh no more shark's fin nowadays but i can settle with anything that tastes like one!

i like that the photog printed all the photos they helped us take that night. nice!!! and this is our table of people, with the primary school and poly friends of vivian.

and fangping really took a lot of photos... i had 5 inside, all of which she was with me too! heh.

and that was the night! we were driven home by jinhui afterwards. i think i blabbered a lot, but it's always normal after 4-5 rounds of wine. ha.....

121124 Azel Wedding

recently attended 2 weddings, one of which is my ex-f5digital long time colleague, azel. hers was a wedding lunch held at four seasons.

while on the mrt here... i saw someone wearing this really kick-ass pair of shoes. trust me, you wouldn't want to step on her toes... literally.

there was also some strange plants along the pathway to four seasons.

i was actually too early, so i stood at the corner to have my lonely cocktails T_T. thankfully azel and jacq came afterwards. so here's the lovely bride!!!

didn't manage to take a lot of pictures but the area was really pretty with all the chandeliers.

our boss was doing the honors of deejaying the music. the screen was displaying his twitter account for people to follow, so you could know the music that he was playing. https://twitter.com/gregbirge
you can also like his page here!
just look at his awesome spread of (apple) devices...

and the bride and groom enters! my shutter speed was too slow to catch it. T_T

and i have my abalone soup. yum yum.

it was about 4pm when everything was done so i had time to head down to LoL event at illuma. got pushed to take photos with eki by khaikhai.

hung around for a while, then went off for dinner with the SMLJ gang at the taiwan cafe, and back to causeway point.

my laogong came so late from the malaysia event. tsk. still, it was a pretty long day!

2 self-shots of my hair up and my hair down before i shower it all off. hohhohoh~ i like it when i twist it and it all comes down in curls again.

121110 Daiya at AFA

eeks ok i'm randomly jumping in the dates. but i so forgot to blog about AFA. did daiya from jojo lion with tkh, ghim, kurumi and lukai on the first day. lukai kept going missing, so i only have the rest of the team members here. heh.

ah ok didn't expect i'll be cos-ing a pink fluffy bear so i think a lot of people were pretty shocked >.< hope it was a good thing. bleahs. it's supposed to be sexy bear not a cute bear anyway, but i think sexy is just so not me! wahahahah

and then there's all the filipinos who visited. so glad to see you guys again! it was really crazy trying to entertain everyone and i think i sort of fail big time at that kind of thing, so it was good that my poor laogong had to take charge. T_T

we had a super massive dinner the first day they arrived, and went to crash their hostel. lovely place. however i only managed to send jemarc back at the airport (and met the philippines team there), and had a final dinner with sese.

so um, sorry for the poor hospitality =_= but i'm sure you guys enjoyed yourself anyway! hope you guys come again next time!!

121102 Boss Bar BBQ

there was a new korean bbq bar house at clarke quay, so we decided to check it out. supposed to be me, shirley, janice and lara, but lara ended up sick. the 3 of us went ahead.

their range of cocktails was pretty cute, since it was named after bands.

we ordered some appetizers but it was so super spicy for us to finish off. =_=

shirley and i were pretty much distracted by all the stage performances and the mvs they were playing when the performance was over. poor janice. i've never watched most of the mvs before so i found it pretty interesting.

for the performance, they hired real koreans (i forgot their groupname) and we watched them dancing live. whooooo!

Daiya costume

haidee hooo i finished my daiya 2 weeks before the event... awesome!

let's start with the dress...

added all the funny balls she had..

then the laces! done!!

california king bed wasn't that hard to make either. i just used whatever materials i had (mostly stuff bought from philippines, and leftover pvc/acrylic paint) to make it. the base were the rubber sheets, the patterns helped bring out some dynamism in the prop.

i just didn't know what color would go well as a whole but i settled on blue and red (those were the only colors i have anyway!). red would be the back.

then i lined it with the silver thing 00 bought for me, that they usually use for amor lining. hurhur. also cut out sunny's expression with random pvc so it looks more 'popped out' rather than drawn.

the yellow cord was unwounded from my tamazuki costume. it was made out of 3 twined golden cord, which i untwined and retwined so i could have a thinner cord around my metal wire.

so here's how it looks at the back, with all the red base.
and finally, it's done~~~

121026 Vio's birthday + FM 98 Avalon Party

so in the day, we went over to Republic poly where my husband is shooting Ao no Exorcist to surprise her. Reiko did such a good job that she was actually surprised. hehe.

we sort of barged in on her while she was doing some poses mid-shoot.

and then as usual we threw the poor cake around. oh no i mean the whipped cream. not the cake. the cake is too good to be thrown.

hiaks. yukio got caked like crazy. hahaha. i couldn't stay for long as i needed to hop to another party, so i missed the dinner. sorry laogong!!! managed to get 2 shots of the shuai brothers before i head off. YAY.

so in the night, i went to the birthday party of FM98. it was held at avalon, the floating club at marina bay sands. dear xm invited me <3 p="p">
met xm's friend along the way and we took the entrance photos together. wooo, i like these photo booths. they seem to be everywhere!

the place was really really crowded. D: and it seemed like all the FM98 deejays were all there, doing the hosting.
and since it was free flow of drinks before midnight, here's what we did for the both of us...
and then a failed attempt to take our own pictures cos it was so dark...

we went back about 1+ cos our legs were aching and i camped at xm's for the night. and her room is still as messy as ever. =____=||||

the next morning, we went dim sum breakfast together with her family at a clubhouse near cck. woooo.

hello, i'm the new son-in-law, nice to meet you. hahahahah. love my pal.

121025 TGL Tasting at Outpost

one of the few good things about working with alcohol accounts - tasting sessions!

today's tasting session was at the Outpost. to be honest i didn't know there's a club that's made for the army. so i was pretty surprised to see officers in the bar, in their uniform. hur. and i didn't even know i was supposed to come here and i came super casually dressed. owwww.

we went down to help with the Guardians registration by instructing the girls working there, but we also got to relax and enjoy ourselves. this place is actually pretty neat.

here's our tasting table!! and the girl who's supposed to go around getting the sign-ups.

there were quite a number of people who turned up (perhaps 20 or so), and there were also interesting people that we interacted with.

and here's our spread. hehehe.

when the glasses were almost all used up and the session coming to an end, we hopped over to another nearby bar and stayed a while to listen to the singings.

it was actually pretty cool because the singers all came down to interact with us. it seems that it's a filipino band. continued to eat and drink lots here. uwahhhh. our client is really awesome!
