ooh if you haven't watch 07-ghost... you absolutely have to, NOW.

castor is much love.

even though i loathe christianity... religions, anything that makes you have to chant a certain prescribed sentence with every action you do to make sure you're 999% dedicated to this almighty, so to speak.

in spite of that, bishops costumes and churches are still gorgeous.

oh, and don't you always have to start with a teaser.

what a rush job. if only i had more time... and skills... i totally wouldn't mind the robotic version. looks so damn cool. but oh well, limited talents!

and these are the ONLY pictures i can find.

i styled this before cosfest itself. not sure why when i wore it it looked so horrible. zzz. (oh, and this is my sis, so bishie xD has potential le)

Photobucket

and here, photo editing on my samsung f480 HANDPHONE. not too bad. i didn't like my half left-eye so i brought more focus to other parts and used a pre-set effect. not too bad.

Photobucket
worked on my shinigami book for the weekend, and popped over to popular to get the sticky plastic cover.

used my graduation gift cover and spray painted it brown. the rest is cut outs in between animes.

sighss.. it looked more obvious than expected - the plastic sheen. oh well.

Photobucket

Photobucket

went to rip off my top hat and made it flat. was thinking about it for very long...

Photobucket

Photobucket

added an additional flap at the back of the robe. well, it's NOT visible at all considering how long undertaker's hair is but so what...

Photobucket
nothing much going on this weekend except i have my sewing machine back and i went to watch harry potter. t'was a bit disappointing considering the lack of action... lack of surprises (except when the hand grabbed harry at the horcrux place... zzz), lack of a rounded off ending (where's dumbledore's funeral??).

on top of that, the theater was bad - which ignorant mother brings their babies to watch harry potter?! of cos they would cry. and the incessant banging of the toilet doors behind. the constant ringing of handphone (please, you should already know your manners than keeping it on sound mode), people shifting in their seats (you can hear the screeches when they move), someone trying to tell the other loudly 'would you please shut up?' (don't you just sense the irony), and did i mention the floor was sticky. god knows what was dried up there (pee, maybe). my slippers were constantly stuck on the floor. and there was a weird smell wafting around - perhaps smell of the stinking kids.

i'll never watch movies in cck again. ever.

11th july - finally graduated!

well of cos i have been a graduate formore than half a year. i just didn't go through the ceremony. didn't think it was that big a deal until the red carpet had people strolling in with the different school flags, and the stage was filled with professors in colorful regalia.

DSCF6815

feels so harry potterish, i almost cried.

the ceremony after that is so long, i wanted to just fall asleep. and i cannot help but cringe when i know our valedictorian is associated with jesus.

when commencement ended (i've always wondered why it's called commencement, now i think it means start of ceremony), the different faculties proceeded to different holdings to receive their cert. i'm glad i could remain, because i don't think my 3 invitations would be able to smuggle in 5 different person in another place again. 8D

when it was finally my turn, i was all too relieved.

DSCF6827

DSCF6830

but what we actually received inside the booklet is empty. holy cow, thought there'd be a certificate of graduation or something. oh well. then i realised we could go out and spam pictures! (before the crowd comes...) sorry for all those whose name was called after i was gone. oops.

and i was glad my family came to support me. no worries about the dress shirt and ties, dad came in jeans and managed to enter anyway. and my dopey brother looks shuai enough. my sis is lovely in her dress. mom looks like christmas in red and green, but she's still awesome. *hugs everyone*

DSCF6835

yes, and you as well. am really glad you came. (thanks for the lovely graduation present with my name on it too). thanks for your support, and i'll be sure to attend your graduation when it comes (",)

DSCF6840

my ahyis came with their daughter and son (but they just refused to take with me)

DSCF6846

DSCF6847

and they'd rather roll around and disturb my photos

DSCF6851

this is just amusing. look at my lovely cousins.

DSCF6852

my bestest friend, xm, for more than 7 years.

DSCF6853

we tried to throw hats. was unsuccessful. oh well. (realised the people were all throwing hats later on after that. damn, too late)

DSCF6854

here's limin, who introduced me to my f5 job as data entry. and now i'm their business consultant. thanks girl! we'll always have dim sum yeah?

P1040362

only planned to take pictures with people closest to me, but while being tugged by xm on her 'let's find people to take photos with' whim, i took a bit more than intended.

found ryan, a jcc cum kendo friend. japanese culture rocks yeah?

P1040369

debbie, a pretty LTB group mate

P1040370

tholmas, and i'd always think your name is strange.

P1040372

chinese harry potter. >.<

P1040373

my family again! my mom, her sisters and their children. whew!

P1040375

and BLEWKY! ya right. there's only wini. couldn't find kaykey. sighs. remember to photoshop me in your photoshoot ok? i'm so sad there's no blewky grad photo. T_T sian.

P1040390

... and thus the day ends, with whatever my brother is trying to do to my cousin.

we were interviewed during the event! uwahh...

oh gosh i look so horrible!

moo! i made a mistake! my entire cos is $160, but the scythe is only $100. lols. oh wells!

Tuesday, July 07, 2009

i removed my scythe ring and replaced it with white wires... but wasn't that satisfied so now i removed it again and wrapped it with white wire and metal wire. looks thicker than the previous one but at least it can twirl and hold up by itself instead of drooping with just white wires.

spray painted this morning before i left home.

Photobucket
HAO ZHONG BEN AH.

i can't believe that freaking gown costs me $245 for rental ($60), deposit and delivery ($15). sucks. i should have just made one myself.

BWAHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Monday, July 06, 2009

did my undertaker pen on sunday while val busied with the frills and frank slept (baka).
now i just need the quill-like tip...

Photobucket

Photobucket

aiya. my pattern seems quite small. bleahs.

ok let's see...

rinoa

pros
-i get a proper shot with squall (seriously, if there's no squall i wouldn't even be considering this character)
-i get a shoot with squall (yes i'm so gonna corner squall)
-it's games related
-location kinda fitting for character

cons
-need to get my boots done
-my hair sucks
-my arms suck
-female character sucks
-too little clothes, i'm gonna be cold
-i run the risk of impossibly ugly photos with double chins and fat arms
-what if... there's no squall?!?!??!?!?!

kimimaro

pros
-male character, i like
-well, there's naruto games right
-lots of nice, thick make up. good, can hide face.

cons
-bonesword too furry
-i can't walk around in his shoes. hell.
-my wig hair sucks too his zigzag parting drives me nuts
-he doesn't wear much too, i'll get cold
-i need a binder, and i still haven't got one
-i run the risk that my costume might drop off (yes i repaired the zip.. but you know)

my conclusion is... i probably shouldn't even cosplay... looking at the cons. T_T ARGHHHHH somebody shoot me.

yasuaki

pros
-nice thick clothes
-yes, there's harutoki games. but it's SO NOT well known
-nice make up

cons
-i need an amulet
-should i change his furry ball?
-his hair is too troublesome to roll mans
-convention centre scenery don't exactly fit an onmyouji.

eh heh??? heh? heh?
and then, i tried to thin the bulging areas for my bonesword and repainted those before i left the house for work in the morning.

Photobucket

boo hoo hoo.
brr... seriously i haven't a clue what i should go as. on one hand i'm so bloody tempted to take pictures with an expected-be-to-damn-drool-worthy-squall by being appropriately dressed, but on the other hand, i really don't want to do a girl cosplay. bahh.
oh and there's the whole indoor is cooling factor, which means i really should put on more layers (and not waste my yasuaki).

but anyway, whatever the case is i'll be fixing those costumes up and decide later on.

good thing i had leftover metal surfaces for my shoe buckle.

Photobucket

i even tested my new extensions. used brown marker to 'dye' the extra blond hair i cut from ryuuki's wig.

Photobucket

(and yes i always find i look better with half my face. oh well)

Wednesday, July 01, 2009

happened to be repairing my bone sword on sunday too. carved a completely new one out of maomao's blue foam.

Photobucket

and sanded it with big particled paper. had a furry effect after that.

Photobucket

damn sian. it's so hard to shave somemore. needs lots of patience. perhaps i won't do him after all. (-_-`)
i know i'm damn slow but i decided to do gong gil and went to fix the shoes last friday...

Photobucket

Photobucket

then i attached it to one of my high platforms using black tapes. heh.

Photobucket

all ready to go! (or should i say.. all readied to go...)
