161210-11 Pangyo Myeongdong

the next 2 days was basically a full day of shopping for my winter coat, since mine is just too thin to withstand the crazy cold.

we had lunch with JH at giheung, at a random kimchi stew shop as we were drawn in by the smell. it turned out to be pretty awesome, and we were so full after just the small pot! the omelette is nice, but 6k is not that worth it. it's half in ketchup cos mr kong doesn't like ketchup. lol.

after that, JH sent us to pangyo, and we started our shopping at the outlets. i think i tried on more than 20 jackets lol and eventually narrowed down to the one from beanpole, its competitor and NBA. 

at shinsegae, we took a short dinner break as we were still full, but tired from all the walking.

saw a funny shop called beli sian. hahah. like my mood sio.

the next day we also managed to head to myeongdong and shop at the lotte outlet to compare the prices.

we ate at the basement level of the dept store, and randomly chose a salmon chirashi, which turned out to be MUCH BETTER than expected. i say this, cos i tend to think restaurants at dept store are expensive and give little, but this one - the salmon chunks were huge and made up for like 70% of the bowl, and i've never seen so little rice. it was heavenly!!! and the roe topping! i didn't even mind the beansprouts!

or maybe cos it was near closing time (9-10pm), which was why the ajummas gave us a lot?

anyway i saw another fila down that i quite like which actually makes me look slim and has magnet catches, but didn't get it cos it was a little too thin. in the end, we checked all the prices online and bought them from Naver shopping, cos they are more than 50bucks cheaper.... hahah.

and it was sent to me 2 days later.. whee~! here's my nba jacket!

wore this out to dinner with mr kong's childhood gathering, and we had wagyu buffet (litterally just wagyu being served). 

didn't think the pink fur would look so pretty, and the jacket is actually pretty light and warm, despite the many pockets and zippers. aside from the fact that it gets dirty easily and attracts dust, it really is an awesome piece.

161120 Shio Jap

on our daily walks around yongin, we discovered a new jap restaurant that sells homely food. it has menus with drawings instead of pictures, and only sells 3 main sets of food. it was recommended by JH also, so we decided to try it out - Shio~

some kind of green bean paste was given as a starter. pretty nice.

we ordered the sashimi cold served

and the curry hamburg

all of them comes with the salad and crab soup. and every single side dish is so yummy!!! there's a slight discount for lunch, so we would probably come back again to try out that 3rd set~!!

each set is around 11-14k, a little pricey but still worth it.

161014-15 Yongin

my last day was spent chionging the costumes at csl!
had porridge in the morning finally. the shop at the terminal was closed everytime we were there.

for the costume, there were some parts i had to mend and thankfully i finished before 8pm... time for dinner! went back to the yukgaejang place to have the other versions, with noddle and the boosted one. all of them tasted pretty much the same as what i had previously.

we spent my last night watching the king's glaive, and i fell asleep halfway. oops.

next day, i was a little late for the bus as i was trying to look for my keys, and 00 had to run to the office for a while. thankfully jeonghoon came to send us to the airport, whee~!!

we saw a cute robot dance on the way, and there was robot fish in the pond too.

the queue was very long so we had some breakfast at the underground foodcourt level.

i was left with about an hour before my turn came to check in. almost couldn't get in because there was problems with my name (again), and they said i was too late!!!! after some arguing... thanks to jeonghoon, they finally let me in!!! if not the next flight would be 4-5hours away, which is NOT GOOD. what's with the name thing, it should have been fine since i changed it in singapore but they kept asking why my last name appeared in front when it's behind in my passport. excuse me... it isn't my problem the chinese likes to have their surname in front but we usually put it behind christian names right....... zzzzz don't think i wanna take china eastern again, keep scaring me with all these funny things.

phew....... the attendant practically ran and lead me all the way to the tram area, then kept telling me to run all the way. (actually there's really no need to... the boarding time was like 12 but i still had like 30mins.......)

and then food in the airplane... it set off a little late too, thanks to another late passenger =_= actually i think the flight was not bad, there was in-flight entertainment for both my connecting flights and the food was ok. i had plenty of seats too - one whole row to myself for both flights. hurhur. it was one of the best flights i had, save the almost-had-to-wait-4hr incident.

landed around 10+, and my sis came to pick me up. yay~ my bag was all food this time....

161013 Hongdae

met up with Mong today at hongdae! yay! she was telling me about this prawn set (se-u ganjjang) at hongdae that she wanted to try out, which was featured on a local show. i was late for like 30mins... and reached around 12. oops... but at least we found the place! it opened around 12pm and there was already a queue!

we waited for almost an hour before we got in, and our meal came almost immediately (they prepped it while we were in the queue).

the prawns are raw and i saw mong ate up every single part. not even the shell or the head was left, like mine:

we ate everything in a mere 15mins?! there's persimmon given as a side fruit. love the entire meal!!!!!!

and of cos, what is meal without dessert? the chocolate cafe was just a minute walk away from this place, the one i last went with pion and the rest.

BUT IT WAS CLOSED,

on a day that's not a holiday, that was just like any other day. T______________T

luckily, Mong said there's a #2 shop that sells cheesecake, opened by the same person. so we walked over to check. it wasn't opened till past 2pm, so we walked around first before coming back again. chanced by a gacha shop and a cafe that makes rings. there's all sorts of cafes in hongdae where you can make jewelry, dolls etc...

well anyway we went back to the cheesecake place and there was this parfait thingy i wanted to try but they had no ice cream that day. NO ICE CREAM. i can't image cafe without ice cream. zzzz. ended up just ordering tea and a cheesecake souffle. *sniffs*

thankfully, there was a bunch of other things along the streets of hongdae, and there was this really neat tiramisu ice cream!! we just saw people eating while walking and decided we'll look for it. it pays to have nice packaging as free advertisement...

we shared a cone! and i took the plastic glass home. it was so delicious!!

after walking around a bit, we passed by a castella shop that has a queue but it was closed... it seemed like shop will only open around 4pm?! since it was just 5mins away from 4pm... we joined in too...

bought 2 and gave one to Mong! i forgot to take a pic of how the castella looked like but i distributed it to the csl people and it disappeared in the hungry depths of myeong seon...

then we went home and i had dinner with 00. continuously eating for the whole day... went to a pizza place where we chanced upon previously after eating at misoya. was kinda craving for honey pizza, and it was there!

they all tasted so awesome..... but it was kinda pricey for yongin so we probably wouldn't be back again, since olive offers something similar at 30% lower price.

we had desserts at paik's coffee. tbh i was seriously super full but i wanted to sit and nua somewhere at a coffee shop. i think i picked the wrong combi though. pumpkin soup was too filling and it was too cold for ice cream too =_=

at least dear enjoyed everything!

161011 Misoya

my dear bought lots of minions back.

all the single-eyed are corn milk and that smart alec at the back is the choco milk. i should try the last coffee milk next time, but corn milk is toooo gooooood.
my house is gonna be filled with minions later.

we had dinner at misoya, since i didn't wanna have bbq with the guys. it was so smoky inside and there was no smoke absorber, too much for me.

ordered yaki udon and roe rice set. then we had some green tea frap shake at a nearby bubble tea shop.

161010 Meeting Lucy

our meeting got postponed till another day, but i was still glad i got to meet lucy! there's only so few friends i meet outside of csl, though she was also part of the team.

in any case we met at somewhere near jukjeon (gg i can't remember the mrt name) at bundang. after looking around the place, we decided to settle on this place.

actually korean food all look pretty nice to me and it seems wherever i go into the food is also bound to me nice. this is some beef jjige.

they gave this rice thingy at the bottom that has like ham and egg inside. it's the shake shake bento in korea, the guys like to cover the tin and shake it like nobody's business.

love the side dishes and the jjige! so glad for a great dinner. a pity i forgot to take a pic with lucy TT... next time!! we had a short coffee afterwards but i left around 10+ as the guys were on their way back from dinner and was dropping near to pick me.

while waiting at the station near yongin, i saw an automatic library in the station. so cute. it's called Smart Library. seems like you need a local ID to borrow. will try it next time ahhaha. but why is it inside the station and not outside =_=

161006 Yongin

Not much going on today – woke up, slacked around and had Isaac toast around 12pm. slogged on my costume, then went out for dinner at 7pm at this place that sells lots of different Korean food, cos I was craving for soupy stuff. Yum yum! 

Had bubble tea afterwards, it was not too bad – matcha oreo with bubbles, though the person didn’t give us aloe bubbles as requested. The thing is, their sugar level comes in 50/100/150%. Koreans must like their stuff sweet… =_=

Shopped more at daiso and this warehouse-like place that sells everything, before heading home. Seems like I’m home alone for these few days till the Singapore shoot gets done… T_T
