150728 Chicago Pizza / 150729 Departure

so in the noon, we went over to meet abonim. the legendary figure... and his office was crazy huge. almost felt like i stepped into some korean dramas, with all the body guards and people serving. we had dwaengjang jjige at his office dining table and it was the nicest jjige i've ever had. the side dishes were amazing too - i was too embarrassed to take a photo at this parents meeting, so i didn't. such regrets now.

tried to call VN airlines to see if i might delay my flight, but there was no availability till 5 aug. it was so sad, because minions open on 29 july, just the day i was departing TwT so yes, my flight the next day is a confirmed departure TwT

anyway after the meal, we went to dongdaemon to search for wigs but to no avail. after shopping around dongdaemon a little, we went to gangnam to have dinner. i managed to have the thick chicago pizza, super cheesy yummyyyy

it's like 2cm thick and stuff full of cheese. a must for all cheese-lovers! look at the cheese strings! and the oozing cheese...

you should also get the additional dips at 2k won to enjoy the pizza more. comes with corn dip, cheese and spicy mayo. love the corn dip!

get the beer while you're at it. we ordered orange beer. tastes orangey. lol. you could probably make it at home, dump orange juice to your beer.

we were 30mins late for our final dance lesson, and dancing in our full stomach as usual. wheep. after lesson, one last homibing in korea... chocolate this time! there's bananas at the side and they taste pretty good together. brownies and puddings too~

no car for today, so we took the public transport back, and walked from the terminal back to eunhwasam. it was a cooling and breezy walk, and we also stopped at convenience stores to grab some final snacks.

went back office and since it was the last night, there was lots of packing to do and tidying up... also used the shrek mask i bought for namchin hehe and we fell asleep at almost 4am.. before having to wake up at 6am for departure TwT

thankfully jeonghoon drove us to the airport so we departed at 630am.

i went into the gates around 930am... i should have went in later because my flight was delayed by an hour! was a mad rush for the transiting flight since it was only 1 hr interval at hochiminh. but i still reached singapore safely.

hello, home again... TwT

and my food for the next few days... honey craze~

150709 Meeting Mong

since i didn't have a very early sleep, i wasn't able to meet mong on time and our meeting shifted to past 3pm. oops. she waited for so long =_=

we had bingsu as we were both full from previous brunch. so yes - it's homibing again! this time with it's top seller mango bingsu.

i came out in such a rush i actually forgot to bring money and wallet with me... and i don't know why i only had 00's travel card with me. ugh... and it was so embarrassing that my credit cards were not activated for overseas usage and mong had to treat me to everything... yikes!!

we then went to the dream cafe - it was really a cafe made for studying as the students there were all mugging hard. wow. the drinks are a little on the expensive side but that's because it's all refillable. they come with a waffle too.

mr kong came a little past 7pm, and we went off for dinner. turns out he doesn't have cash with him too and we couldn't repay mong. jeez... i'm so sorry mong! promise you a good dinner when you're in sg!!!!!

and we went over to gimbab 25 to have mayo chicken. i was pretty full from the continuous eating so we shared a bowl.

and then it was dance lesson~

after classes we went back and i explored a little of 00's room. look at the book of ancestry there... it's full of dust.

and whaddya know, i accidentally brought home a homibing souvenir. i have no idea how it got into my bag, seriously. =_=

150707 Crazy Dduk World

so we came like way to early to gangnam thinking that there may be stuff to see here, but all i did was cosmetics shopping and looking at clothes. but wheee there's so many kakao endorsements on the cosmetics here!

we decided to have lunch and i managed to convince mr kong to eat this - he kept saying that we've had them before but i just simply cannot remember. and yes, we've actually never had this before. =_=

crazy dduk world restaurant seems to have a thing for anime figurines - it's all over the ceiling...

we ordered the ganjang dduk set.

it's actually kinda like the army stew in the jjimddak sauce. not bad!! was so filling...

but we still had some time for homibing~~~ milk tea this time!

our lesson started at 8.20pm... we were way too early. i think we reached gangnam at 2pm... ughhh never try to shop before a 2hrs dance lesson...

well anyway there's a cute cupcake store around our school

and lots of beer endorsements by top... took this for vic. hur.

and then it's finally lesson~

guess what, we went to eat at homibing again after lesson. apparently it was still opened at 1030-11pm. we did a take out on the taro bingsu. wwwwwwwwww it looks so pretty~~

and back to home~

150704 LP Dance

got forced to learn dance (shuffling/steps/body movements) at one of gangnam's dance school... LP Dance (Let's Play).

hmm, the class is pretty small (about 6-7 people), and the instructor goes around to teach individually based on their ability. except for the fact i was repeating the same steps for 1 hr... i guess if you know how to dance it could be more fun.

we had a quick meal of oden and gimbabs before our lesson at a posh-looking gimbab place.

but anyway the point of this entry is more on the bingsu near our school, called homibing!!!

ordered taro bingsu to share. look at the wobbly purple pudding and the cheesecake there. heavenly!

101415 MBS Dramia

we took bus 10 to pyeon-something (opposite of suwon), then waited for the bus but realised we would have to wait almost an hour! so we took a taxi to MBS dramia straight instead. bus schedule here~

spotted a yellow spider around the bus stop.. ughh..

and we're here!!! the tickets are not so expensive i think it was 5k or so? and sometimes they do filming here, but we were unlucky that day cos there was no filming. but in a way there was also nobody around so we could roam the place freely.

the place where almost all historical dramas are shot. and i just realised that for the Night Watchmen series, they made us of like 90% of the places here!! how many dramas can you recognise!!!

and taking with jung il woo~~

and we start with dae jang geum~~

and the mei ran bang of Night Watchmen... wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! it's so prettyyyyyyY~!

some rich men houses! amazingly there's not a lot of people around at all. in fact i think in total for the whole area there was probably like less than 5 visitors. suprising.

medicine shop?

the village!

recognise this street area? heh.

and we go into the palace! used by queen seondeok and moon embraces sun.

magistrate house. i'm sure it appeared in plenty of dramas.

oh look the new magistrate!

there's another magistrate area with a prison cell... i think arang was filmed here~

and up up to the temple in night watchmen, where the hidden imperial treasure was at.

had to climb a bit but there was a good view~

met a stray hungry kitty who gets to eat our sandwich...

and here we are at the moon embrace sun location~~

behind there was a little pillar where night watchmen was filmed as well in the episodes 22 or so.

and we then move on to mishil's area..... wheeee

and then we went over to the other side with another village area and castle fort

and up on the castle~

view from up there

can you see what's in the forest...

it's the corpse that was used as sadan in Night watchmen... ughhh why did they just leave it there... lol.

time to climb down and head into the village

cosplaying as joseon villagers. hurhur.

this windmill area appeared in night watchmen as well~

and we head into the sports complex...

we had an hour till our bus came, so we went to the costumes area...!!

so you can pick any of the costumes displayed here to try

i was much fascinated by queen seondeok's costume since i wanted to make it... but it couldn't be tried on as it costs over 10,000+++ sgd ughhh

ended up trying seondeok's blue costume for 15k won!

picture in mishil's chambers...

and in the study room

i even took with bidam...................... hehehhe for an additional 15k as a souvenir for myself. whee hee. looks quite realistic eh. you could choose the top banner also but i don't know why seondeok banner was not available. bleh.

and then we took the bus back. ate at this shop called bapool at yongin city. a set is at 19k won and can be eaten by 2 or 3 person. it comes with the steamboat ddokppogi and a honey pizza

and kimchi fried rice at the end!

ordered a crab quiche to try. looks cute.

although we were pretty full, mr k insisted we try the seolbing in yongin. since there's always a separate stomach for desserts... why not??

we ordered the goguma (sweet potato) bingsu that comes with an ice cream, macadamia and almond nuts, cheese chunks and mochi pieces.. it was THE BEST BINGSU i'VE EVER EATEN!!!!!!!!! no kidding. everyone should try if they visit korea!! they've a few branches everywhere!!!!!!!

drape it with condensed milk and with the traditional cream crust used in some ddok desserts.... whooooaaaa

i never knew that those nuts go SO WELL with gogume ice cream. inside the ice cream was more goguma hidden. whoaaaa it was really a surprise by surpise with each mouthful. T____T so niceeeeeee
