161114 Arrival in Korea

and.. i'm packing for korea again after less than a month in singapore...!! love my new travel covers from taobao~!! hehehe.

unfortunately i didn't get to see pokemon christmas being unveiled.. oh well.

this time i'm taking asiana, so it's a quick 5 hrs direct flight over. yeah~! once again, i got myself 3 seats to sleep soundly in, and wake up to breakfast..~ whee hee.

on arrival, my dear came and we had seaweed porridge for breakfast.

back at home, i'm seeing my new bed! yay!! finally can sleep on something soft!

dear also brought in a half-spoilt tv that is too big... the colors totally went haywire after a few movies later in the month.

at night, we had some nice tofu jjige.

Day 5 00 Ramen Champion

and so... yesterday was the last day of 00's trip T_T
and i still had to work.
got up at 7+, then took a taxi to drop off 00's luggage at copthorne. the taxi took 45mins =_= and cost $38!! oh my god. never try to taxi in the morning jam. in any case we still managed to bus over to tiong bahru and eat mac for breakfast.

still managed to get to office a little past 930am. phew..

met up for lunch with the bunch at tiong bahru again, where we had bah kut teh on the 2nd level. it's not the best and the guys seem to not enjoy it as much as the other food, but it was alright. we ate yakun for dessert as well as 9 fresh. from the last grass jelly experience they had doubts on taiwan dessert but 9 fresh made it up!

and the guys had really too much yakun... it was 5 slices for each of them... wahh. but they really love it!!!

after work, we met up at bugis. the guys went to the bird park in the mean time. i showed them all the food at bugis and bugis+, and we finally decided on ramen, where we ordered 4 big bowls.

there's the butagod cheese ramen (which is my favourite), spicy ramen, miso ramen and the pork-based tsukemen.

here comes tsukemen.

they were still full from the toast during lunch, but we still managed to finish eating all of them since they love all the ramens here! food fighter!

and we still had llaollao for dessert, 2 person sharing 1 sanum. i didn't manage to finish mine cos 00 didn't really like yogurt, esp the fruits inside. oh well. seongju and nare finished theirs... wowwww.

we then took the train and bus back to copthorne, where we rested for a bit before taxi-ing to the airport around 9+pm.

we then checked in and had to repack 00's luggage cos he could only check in 1 baggage, so i had to stuff my kabaneri props in his carrier. whoaaa. thankfully all of it squeezed in nicely, though he had to handcarry his big tablet and his boots.

we hung around the area till about 12am, where the guys sent me off on my taxi home and even gave me taxi fee T_T i took uber pool, and it only cost 16.80 for the trip back home! the guy sharing apparently didn't appear so i had the whole taxi to myself. gotta love uber pool...

and i only managed to sleep at 1+ ughhh... work again tomorrow T_T

150405 Dancing Crab

so yesterday we were actually trying to watch some movie off youtube - pirates of joseon, where kim nam gil appeared. i think i couldn't even stay past 30mins of it before i fell asleep... hurhur. usually i fall asleep when watching on small screens in a dark room... hehehe. plus it was already past 2 am i think...

so anyway we managed to wake up just in time for lunch with my sister. ate a floss bread before we went over cos 00 wanted to try breadtalk's signature. my sister totally didn't know that another lunch was going on at a korean bbq, but i really didn't want to have bbq... i realised after that i should have went cos it's only good manners that 00 meet up and have a meal with my family before he flies off. oops.

but dancing crab was a good choice too. the decors were pretty nice~

we ordered a crab with spicy sauce and a seafood lobster set with creamy sauce.

the spicy sauce had black pepper inside and 00 absolutely loved it.

this was a pretty funny photo because it looked like we can slice off the middle portion. hahahah

us and the crab! we have the dancing crab apron to prevent juices from flying onto our clothes. ohhh and yes this is the couple set we bought the day before.

so what's special about this place is that they put plastic over the table so you can just spill the whole bowl out and eat off the table. not quite what 00 had in mind, since he'd always been particular about table manners and eating with hands. but too bad! it was so funny because what you have dumped on the side can always be picked up and eaten again (though it sounds disgusting). we had great fun eating. ordered some noodles as well because the leftover sauce seemed to go well with it... and it did~ the bill came to about 200 for the 4 of us. seems ok...

afterwards we took a little walk around turf city while my sis went off for her movies. there was a queer food market there selling a lot of unique food so we went to take a look. they have all kinds of asian and western food there and the layout makes you feel like you're in another world.

there's also an open area with big screen and sofas to lounge around. the booths around sell different things ranging from tshirts, accessories to snacks and such.

a band was preparing but we didn't stay around long enough to hear them sing. 

we left and took a shuttle bus from where we were (turf city) to clementi. walked around clementi a little a snacked more (egg tart + cheese swiss roll), then decided to WALK to jurong east. yes, we walked there. took us like 30mins along the expressway and forests. lol. it was HOT.

met our seller of the flying fairies there, then took a look around the mall again. there was actually a new shopping mall next to westgate, called BIG or something, selling mainly furnitures. an IT show was going on too! exciting. 00 stocked some mouse, and after we shared a set of pepper lunch for dinner, we headed off.

went home to bathe while 00 packed his stuff, then we took the bus to the airport. it's getting closer....

this time the ride was actually not half as bad. usually while i'm on the ride i'm already feeling the byebyes, but we chatted all the way from the start to the end, about his ex-girlfriends, mostly. (yes why am i curious about such things, i don't know)

we reached the airport with some time to spare. there was a hobbit photo taking place and a promote-new-zealand event set up.

come to new zealand for lord of the rings...!

and yes i'm still wearing 00's jacket cos it's cooooold.

we also had a last dinner with the floss toast...

i don't know but perhaps the floss was really so good that he had to clean the entire plate up =.=||| hurhur

we walked around the airport before i had to send him off around 1050pm... and then he kept trying to play a game off who's the last to leave the place behind the glass barriers. i lost. had to catch my last bus home. and then he was gone for another few months... byebyee nae sarang T___________T

141218-19 Arrival

i've been going korea so often i don't know where to visit anymore. but anyway here i am departing again right after work to the winter land!

one nice thing about changi airport is that they've totally filled the place with christmas mood. the decors were pretty awesome. you get this big house that sort of lights up at certain times as a show.

it also blows out 'snow' at the end. nice~~

some nice decors after i check in. so much disney!

vietnam airways is as good as usual. the food sort of improves. after the stopver at ho chih min, i even get to sit on a bigger plane with screens in front. and the food somehow improved heaps. beef stew is yummmyyyyy.

and i arrived in korea 730am in the morning, with my darling arriving in their company car. kyungmin drove over, together with skasha and ark. what a welcome! ..^_^..

and my first meal of the day... kimchi stew~~ seems they discovered a lot of nice foods around yongin while i was away for 2 months. heh. even the side dishes are yummmmmy.

we headed over to dongdaemon to shop afterwards. shoppinggggggggggggggg

140629 Korea - Arrival

so before i start on my new job, i bought a very last minute ticket for a trip to korea. in fact i was contemplating if i should go in the later 2 weeks or the earlier 2 weeks, since i need to be back for a shingeki shoot in between. i decided on the former so i could start my job earlier (and recuperate my expenditure over the last few weeks). my ticket was only about $500. not so bad. there's a transfer in between to ho chih min, but i got to eat 2 plane meals anyway. ha!

i also bought a hair voucher to neaten myself up before i fly off. left slightly earlier for perming! look at my m- shaped hair!

in the evening, went to deliver some daiso stuff to jokumi for his wcs. the team skit looked pretty good~
i self-shot myself at his place since i didn't get to do it at the salon. hoho.

on sat, i spent my day packing and thank goodness my sis sent me to the airport. we shopped a bit (my last in bee cheng hiang souvenirs) and played the millionaire game. it looks like a massive set up but not all receipts could be scanned.

after i checked in, i went to roam T3 and discovered a free movie theatre.

it was really, a good place to sleep as people were snoring inside. or maybe the show was just too boring.

since i didn't have a lot of luggage i waited till everyone went in, then boarded so i didn't have to stand and queue. hoho. me with my yeowoo waiting~

the flight was on sat night and i landed around 10am in the morning on sunday. here's my 2 meals onboard~ i don't like the salad but the main meal was not so bad.

finally touched down and my dear came to pick me up. he seemed to have slimmed down much~!

we had breakfast at macdonald, before traveling down to yongin.

.. and my former room has been turned into a cat cafe.

well, staying next to a room of cats will be interesting~!

they are all fat and furry and really tame. and they seem to like humans. there's only 1 male cat, called Lucy. lol. that's the biggest and furriest.

the next biggest is the white-black one called Kaka. She likes to bite people's finger or grab them as a way of playing with you, but it can scratch and hurt as well.

The tabby grey one called Baek Ho (or white tiger), loves to lick people. The teeth is quite sharp so it hurts slightly sometimes, but it still feels nice *-*

The last one, sister of Baek Ho, is called Hwang Ryung (or Yellow Dragon), but 00 likes to call her Bbang Ryung (or Fat Dragon). the sisters like to lick each other and Hwang Ryung seems to like to avoid people touching her head unless she knows them well.

the strange thing about the cats is that they don't meow at all. instead they produce a low grunting sound which 00 says is their way of expressing happiness. hence, the room is strangely silent most of the time. 00's mom or the house butler also comes to clean the room once every 2 days or sometimes everyday, so the room always smell good.

We went to have a late lunch/early dinner at my favourite roe rice place. they've changed the udon soup/porridge to a cold soup which is still pretty nice but not something i'm used to. after that we had movies in our room, watching Real Steel, which was a pretty heartwarming movie *_*
