Learning new things!

hmm, after the photobucket incident, i'm still contemplating on whether i should continue this blog. years of writing is wasted because stupid photobucket decide to suck money from their users and deactivate all my photo links. so if i do continue i'll have to upload a mess of photos to blogger, which doesn't seem to have any folder organisation. pwah..

but i do need somewhere to jot my memories, even if i do become lazy these days XD

but short update - i'm learning piano (started just 2 days ago) and golf (starting next week). i'm so excited!! here's my first golfing shoes and gloves. i would have loved to spend a longer time glossing over the products but i was kinda forced to pick one out in less than 10mins from our country club T_T love the shoe bag though lolol

i'm just scared that i'll do badly and then start to waste all the money there. having stayed near a golf course for well over 2 years, i had really wanted to swing those clubs at least once but since it's such an expensive sport, it's pretty hard to start it. i really like all those golfing bags i see at departmental stores though but the prices are too extravagant for a beginner like me!??!? if you're interested golf lessons are around 300k won a month for twice a week, for about 20min teaching each time and the rest of the 50mins as practice. however you need to rent the practice area for about 100k won/10times, with 70min duration each. you can however choose to pay an extra 40k for unlimited practice, but i'm not even sure if i'll come over on days without lessons since the place is a inaccessible to people without cars. it is said that you'll need to come at least 3 mths to fully know and play the game. so basically over 1k to learn golfing... @_@

and then i'm hopping over to piano later. it's a bit embarrassing to be one of the oldest there playing Mary had a Little Lamb while the young ones are on Mozart and Bach but nevermind, i can do it! nampyeon wanted to start a hobby together but we ended up taking lessons separately so i'm not sure if this still counts as doing something together.

the lessons i'm taking is about 150k won/mth, for a short 10-15mins teaching twice a week. but you can just come into the practice area anytime, any day for no extra charges. again, not that i'm likely to visit myself at any other times... i wish that it is within walking distance but i have no car! pwahhhh. i used to learn organ when i was little (like 4 or 5?!) but now my hands are no longer coordinated so it takes a bit of time to get used to playing with both hands. saddddd.

another 3 hours till my lesson later on so i'll probably start to organise all my trip photos and hopefully i'll be able to upload slowly to my blog... soon... x_x

normal life is not so normal!

for the next few months i'm going to have to turn into a bookworm.... in my cozy little room~~ but it's actually not so bad.

just looking at the stack of notes/homework the teachers gave in the short 2 weeks, is enough to drive me crazy. there's tests almost every week, and lots of oral presentations and tests as well. that's how these students become so proficient in less than half a year...

however even while stuck at home, there's plenty of things to do. i don't think sy mean to do it but he seems to surprise me every time. this guy is really too unpredictable... just the other day i only asked if there was a sewing machine so i could fix my pants, but i didn't think he would buy one the next day... you can't imagine how happy i was to touch an embroidery machine. since no one in the team can sew, i get to keep it in my room. the only regret i have is not having all my materials here to start sewing...!!! i really want to bring this thing home...!!!

everything is practically automated!! now i just have to figure out the embroidery part...

i also had the privilege of playing ff13-2~~~ hehehehe. except it's in korean. oh well, it's practice for me too i guess. did you know that ff is called papan 바반 in korean??? who knows... thank goodness it's easy enough and the battle system is kind of like ff13. well, there's always faq if i get stuck. the thing is, it's actually considered a failed game in korea, so for less than $20, you can get the game disc, soundtrack, postcards and some calendar cards all in a bundle. WOW.

the really awesome thing though, is i'm playing it on a super huge screen that is like more than 70 inches. i don't know. i didn't measure.

but nothing beats this umbrella. hehehe. it arrived on a rainy morning, when i was preparing to get out for school. it's such a cute little kitty pattern. i don't think it was meant to be a present, but you can't imagine how happy i was to have it. it makes rainy days a happier moment.

and there's also little things that sy remembered. his memory works at the strangest time.

yong-in quirks

some interesting things around yong-in.

there's the one and the only cab here that is like a mini museum.

there's also some suspicious shops around the yong-in market we accidentally walked past... hurhur.

there's tvs on all the buses here. they show short video clips featuring gag stunts, animations, fun facts, english learning, music charts, and some artist clips. it also announce the previous, current and next stations the bus is stopping at. makes traveling a real breeze. the bus transport is actually better than the mrt in many ways like this. oh it was showing jay chou some time ago, the secret movie. heh. since i have to take almost 1.5hours of bus everyday to school, i think i know it rather well...

i think it's a bad habit but i keep noticing the funny spellings on the menu. this one is from pastaria at yong-in market. is it me, or does no one think spawn of a flying fish is funny?!?

then i also had my first white day here. though it wasn't any special day for me, ta-sem still gave me a big snack package to carry around. it was a bit embarrassing to carry it but it was still rather sweet of ta-sem. thank you! after i took a picture of it though i totally forgot about it and left it in the office, and it was gone the next day -_- those food monsters... you leave food there for even 10mins, it will be gone like really fast.

just on friday, jooA came to visit so we had a good talk and dinner together. since the guys wanted meat again, they went for the buffet and we ate at han's deli. jooA really eats like a guy!!! she ate up all the carbonara and meat while i had my cheesy dokboggi. and i received a nice watch as a present from here <3333 -_-="" always="" can="" full="" guys="" hope="" is="" more="" of="" office="" often="" only="" p="" she="" the="" visit="">

at eunhwasam, there's also an employee canteen. the food is known to be horrible there but i had breakfast there yesterday. we really only go when we're too lazy to do delivery or to go out. thank goodness it was jajang-rice yesterday so it wasn't too bad.
