140727 Sentosa Play Pass

so from the last time we went to my dad's company anniversary, we had some remaining tickets to play around sentosa. i hung out with my mom, aunt, alison and my little cousin. odd combination, but so interesting!

we visited the butterfly and insects kingdom. look at how harmoniously the 2 is staying together. the parrot bites btw.

and uh, it seems i didn't take any insect/butterfly photos cos i counted on yingxuan my little cousin to take them and never received them from her again T_T

we went on all the 3D rides. it was good! in the cowboy game i was even the top winner. last time i played it in korea i scored so little points for it. huh.

the most interesting was this kart like ride. we had to queue for quite long though.

you drive the whole track and eventually you're hauled back via the cable cars.

went atop this tiger beer tower also to look at the scenery.

and last stop was at the local museum. quick 5 min show at the front with some talking portraits. then a museum with a lot of wax figures to show the local lifestyle.

the highlight was the selfie with johnny depp!!

and because the play pass included cable cars to harbour front we took it anyway. if you buy the rides alone it's like $28 per person - so why not!? see how cool the superhero cars are?

except they are non-aircon inside T_T bleah.

so we took over to harbourfront to have desserts then took the cable car back to sentosa and rode home in alison's car.

fun day! heh.

140228 Day 2 Sentosa Water Cove

the next day, we headed down for a splash! yay! i like our entrance photo *_*

some photos of the area - i took it after we finished all the rides.

 

the tidal wave area is pretty fun!

 

this thing takes more than 30mins to queue but it's totally worth it. the one on the right, not the duelling one. it speeds upwards then spirals really fast down. comparable to a roller coaster!

 

 

some kiddy rides we went on as well. hahah!

there's a restaurant but we didn't go of course.

the scuba diving area is quite cute as well. the water is super salty! this is as close to scuba as i'll ever get. you can touch the fishes if you can outswim them too.

we took a lot of photos by the waterpark people but it was so expensive to get them that i gave up all of them. at least 70+ for the cd. it was crazy. gotta be contented with my own shots i guess.

and then it was dinner~~ ate at a taiwan restaurant at harbourfront. but it was only so so...

shopped around vivo for a while then headed back to lug our luggage home. gotta rise at 4am for wedding tomorrow, so early rest today! and i still gotta cut his hair for tomorrow... wwwwwoa. heheheh not that i don't like it!

Day 6 Universal Studios

checked out at 12plus and went to universal studios today. even though we reached around 2+ and it closes at 7, we still went in all the same.

was a good choice we came - some halloween decorations were up and there were staff already in scary costumes.

we started off with transformers, since it was the nearest ride with the longest queue that i have not tried... xD

it almost looks like a super zai cosplay when you zoom in to that bumblebee o_o

and the looooong windy way before we reach our ride.

and off we go after about 40mins of waiting!

since it was a 3D simulator ride, we were allowed to bring our items up.

the ride was really amazing!!!! keke. some more transformers cosplay and craziness going on outside. really well made! yes and he moves pretty easily :o like C4 cosplay. lol.

there's optimus prime too!!!

just look at how gigantic it is.

we went on the human and cyclon roller coasters next, and since the queue was so super short (like 5mins), we took cyclon twice. oh the lockers are now free for the first 15mins. not bad!

next was the mummy ride~~~ ohh mr pharoah on sticks spotted!

we went on the water ride and as usual, i don't seem to have any luck with getting water splashed on me. heehee.

we managed to take all the classic rides, and finished on the dot with shrek's 4D.

exited USS and went to walk around the surroundings a bit, ate an ice cream, climbed all the stairs. and found the merlion!

in fact the merlion was a little scary with the eyes... and the colors kept changing to some ghastly glow. perhaps it was also in the halloween mood... {{{o_o}}}

 

and then we were off back to vivo city after that. walked a little around vivocity and then it was time to head back my house to get my stuff... and to go malaysia!
