Day 2 LoL RAMPAGE!

Day 2 It's the event!! we were supposed to get out and gather at 10... but.. but... while waiting, romeo got bored...

 so we dillied and dallied till... 1130. and finally reached the place at 1230. it was supposed to be a 10mins drive away but well, manila jam =_=||| in our rocky journey we tried to take some pictures hurhur  ta-sem keeps saying my make-up is too thick. it is not!! and jeez, can 00 stop looking so good *w* -melts- my dear sister chen looks awesome as well!! =3= hello 大美女

at first we thought we had to share the resting place with the rest of the world and was shocked to find girls changing publicly. and guess what, they brought the wrong suitcase so kayle's armour wasn't in... so the guys went back to the hotel to retrieve it while the rest of us waited.

thank goodness we got moved to a private area. phew! it was a kitchen space just next to the gaming area.

ohohoh you did see that awesome horse armour thingy, hecarim. it looked so much like the thailand one that visited us. phwooooar.

ta-sem took my phone to take some pictures of the crazy event. it was like choke full of people and i think it's probably 90% guys. wow.

ooh there's a master of rubber hidden here. time to dig out philippines rubber secret...

poor chen had to be stuck at a corner after she has her armour on. and hagrid looked like he got trapped as well.

i think i was the most at ease xD even had help from 00 putting on my shoulder armour >.< aweoooooooo. actually i didn't really need help but i gladly accept. hohohohhoho. then i went around taking photos~~~

here's our dear romeo1, leader of CNPH. poor guy went crazy over all our luggage, missing items, adapting to what everyone wants, running here and there to get things etc. ooops think he must have breathed a sigh of relief when we went home.

i kept thinking why my head was all furry... it's actually chen's wings. haha.

here's romeo2/quakey. i really like how he can be so professional and so funny when times need him to be!!! most of the time he's just HILARIOUS. like really, you gotta witness this guy in person man.

lunaroooooooo! didn't see her again after the first day T_T but am really glad she helped coordinate all this and made everything possible!!! so good to see you again!

here's ta-sem, the official photog of team CSL. his pictures are really awesome but i don't know why he can't really use my phone well. hurhur. all great photogs have a weakness i guess!!

and whilst i didn't have an individual picture with chen since we kena photobombed by ta-sem, this will do!

the armour piece was hurting her stomach when she sat down and it was hell to go to the toilet, but at least she did eventually. can imagine how terrible it is to wear the armour and the wings the whole day... o_o you did well, dongsaeng!!! <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">
oooooo. i think i caught a sleeping d-man.

uh ho. he's awake!! so dangerous... he might look dangerous but he's really so mild. heehee. and i think he slept for as long as i can remember till we needed to move. aiyoh. oh did i mention he really eats A LOT. 00 kept saying because d-man kept pulling 00 to go eat, they failed at dieting in the end. lol. diet will start when they return!

and here's 00, the leader of the awesome CSL!! my all-time inspiration, 사랑 and idol!!! i'd have stopped cosplaying 2 years ago if it weren't for you. thank you for bringing so much excitement and fun in my life, and for this crazy invitation!!!

kyungmin had to go around helping everyone and only managed to put on his armour last. i didn't get to take any with him... so busy!!!! and seems like 00 decided to take his Mordekaiser after all and eventually managed to finish off and put it on. so here's Mordekaiser!! i stuck the linings on his leg the day before... wheee! but poor 00, he was really dying inside and couldn't move as much (as me, dooh). thank goodness he had a lot of fanboys surrounding and helping him. CNPH helpers rock...!

ooh special mention to leny, who the guys went totally crazy after and invited her to our shoot the next day. guys, don't be too jealous because she likes me eh heh. *protects leny from the guys* she's so cute!!!! aweeeeeeee

we went up after the whole competition ended around 330-4pm. here's the clip of the whole competition. we are somewhere around 38.5mins.

i think the filipino crowd is really awesome. they gave so much encouragement and cheers, even when our mordekaiser broke down. you could hear the chanting at the end!!! love you guys!!! and here's a take by jon for our segment.

phew! it didn't capture the part where i turned emcee. totally not prepared for anything and i had to introduce all the members. but thank goodness the crowd was encouraging and they cheered almost at every single thing the members/me say. here's me looking dumb. please pardon all the weird things i was saying and just visit www.cslcosplay.com or CSL facebook and support us~~~!! 

 ooh by the way i'm from singapore. and i'm not a korean. although it's cute the way people are greeting me in korean. heehee. i just happened to be a singapore member of csl. lol (no pun intended). we took a little trip to look around the area before we head off for dinner. it was really pretty impossible to move inside there... and then, dinner at shakey's!!

thanks to sese for being able to make it here!! and you really talk to fast. hahah.

 

after we returned to the hotel we sort of nua-ed around and i helped shift some things back to 00's room. for someone who had probably 2hours of sleep everyday for the few days before he came, he sure was taking it well. thought i could make him go to sleep but i failed! exited after ta-sem came.

after returning to my room, me and chen were too excited and we couldn't really sleep so chen suggested that we should do mask. then she wanted to visit the boys' room, and it seemed like only 00 was awake, and we went over in our ghastly mask form. to be fair, we made 00 do the mask as well hahahahahah!!!! it was totally hilarious. 趁机bua我偶像的脸 hurhur. think chen and 00 talked till 3-4am while i slept, since i could barely catch what they were saying 70% of the time. although i did catch a little of the more important parts ._. oooh the pore cleansing faceshop mask that we used is awesome! it made my face all smooth and sparkling *_*

Philippines again!

ok, so i'm supposed to blog about my whole philippines trip. the 2 trips i made to philippines over the past month. ughh. don't ask me why i did it. =__=

Day 1 (Friday)

so i arrived in the wee hours, like 6am at philippines, again. ._. dear romeo fetched me from the airport and we had breakfast at tokyo cafe together. this time, it's a neat little budget hotel that we're staying at with lots of space at every levels.

ranulf came to join us a little later, then by 1030, romeo needed to go fetch the koreans. being lazy (and really sleepy, since i got out of house at 11pm and have been awake till 10am!!), i slept for an hour at the hotel before i woke up to check if they've been fetched safely. it's really to identify 4 guys + 1 girl, because you will only need to look at the baggage they have. they had some problems crossing for some of the bigger things, but they arrived all right!

it's nice to see 00, kyungmin and d-man again!!! especially excited because i miss 00 so much. *w* this time they came with 2 new people i have yet met, but i did talk a bit with donghyeok (ta2geta) before our trip. the only girl amongst them, chen, is a 172cm tall korean model, who will be my room mate. mwahaha i'll be sleeping with a hottie!

we moved off for lunch at this chinese restaurant. everyone was so hungry that we ordered like crazy to fill our stomachs. romeo was almost shocked at the quantity they ate. poor romeo, you haven't seen the worst!

me and chen went for a little shopping at the mall just next to our hotel. saw this really nice booth selling perfumes. they use this kind of bottles to fill/refill your perfumes. neat.

chen, tage, 00 and me spend the next half of our day chatting and making props in 00's room while d-man and km slept their fill. of course, when they wake up... it will be their turn to suffer...

 although i do like making props, super glue gets pretty irritating sometimes.

we made our props till about 8+ before we went off for dinner at max's restaurant. whee hee! love the pandan shake! d-man thought it was made out of pandas. lol.

before we go to sleep, chen gave me a bunch of crazy things to put on my face, as part of the pre-photoshoot/event make up ritual. really don't know where to start!!!

she then laid out her costume for tomorrow to test. oops i didn't even test mine. i had a great time examining all the lovely craftwork, and was amazed at the zippers used for the curved leg armour parts. CSL work is really neat and awesome!!! i can't even see a speck of glue trace. D;

oh my i just remembered 00, km, chen and me went for hand and foot massage but i forgot when it was. think it was the first night. our nights are so long sometimes it felt like we were there for many days. only 290php... km was once averse to massage but i think the 2 guys seem to love it after the session ended. we continued working on the props till 2am as there was a problem with my shuriken and we had to reclay/recut/restick all the patterns. perfectionists... i only went off minutes after chen did and found myself stuck outside without a key!!!! T_____T

thankfully 00 let me sleep in his room but the bed was already used by ta-sem. since i wasn't so used to sleeping on a bed others had slept on before, i insisted that i will continue to work on the props rather than waste my time trying to sleep. i think i must have leaned on everything else to sleep but the bed. hell, i didn't even wash up, how to sleep =_= but i must have looked horrible since 00 insisted that i should sleep, and tried to pat me to sleep. *_* oh gosh! don't you know it's because you're right next to me that i can't fall asleep?! chen came around the room half an hour later and i realised that she had been showering. ta-sem was on my bed again. OYEEEE. after chasing him out everywhere, i had a good night's sleep. and the sweetest dream ever.

making of LoV berserker!

finally have about half an hour or so to blog about LoV. gonna be picture spamming time, beware!
even my pictures on photobucket is messed up, this is gonna be tough...

ok so i chose berserker from LoV for my cos this time. decided i should dominate some other colors so here's green leafy berserker. even though she's a human warrior class-type, due to our story, she has become the sister of the fairy instead. since the series is not very well-known, we sorta drew the whole story and made something entirely new out of the base characters. heh.

there's a few versions of her from the game so i kinda merged all. haha.

sosometime ago, i posted a rather destroyed-looking skirt that i cut out on my facebook here:

well i wanted a sort of rugged and war-torn look for berserker so i went for the anyhow-snip-and-layered style. so this skirt, after pasting it on another green base and overlaying it with shiny netted material became this:

oh ya i thought it was pretty cool to line my skirt with leaves but i didn't do it. too tangly and difficult to move in. kinda reminds you of tango doesn't it.

so same thing for the top. i did the base...

added on the gold zigzag patterns... and a closer look at the black lace peaking out

then the gold plates, the side plates and the leafy layers

felt that it was too plain so i added on the sequins and some mini decors as well. this is the completed top with the side decors and diamantes.

so the top with the skirt kinda looks like this

so moving on, the elephant/skull belted thing that she had. i did this twice because the first time it ended pretty horrendous.

er well it wasn't looking exactly good. and the colors were probably too bright... so i changed the outer layer to a bronze-like shade.

ah yeah those you see are the aluminium wraps... it's not obvious from far...!!!

 i added a tattered mane to it and changed the side whiskers so it would 'blend' well with the rest of my costume. also put some crystals to bling it up. looks like a ka-chua now =_=

then i made some belts decorated with pearls, using pvc

so this is the completed look with all the shingles and belt-a-jangles. nohoh.

now's the 2 skulls on her shoulders. here's the base.

after wrapping them...

adding on the teeth and eyes... and some sequin strings... argh i just can't seem to make evil eyes!

screw it. oh even though i can't find pictures of her legs anywhere, i made her a pair of boots as well. haha. well i was told to be creative and imaginative. it almost seems too elf-like though =_=

here's her handguard. not interesting, just various pieces joined together with a cloth backing.

and her gloves, the finger guards made out of pvc, technique stolen from rina's saber armour. heh.

omo! i don't know why i don't have individual pictures of my feathered shoulder cape! but it's essentially feathers pasted together on pvc, the layered with the green cloths. here's one.

now's my double swords. pretty easy swords. i used the car sticker i got from korea to cut the shape, stuck a pole inside and gave it some decors.

there were 2 swords there in case you didn't notice (you did notice right? right?)
and then power it with LED.... light saber!! phwibishshshhh

i know i have a picture of my white one somewhere... can't find it now. urgh.
i left the hair thing to the last. i really don't like the 2 rings she has on top. =_= i didn't wear it for my performance, too obstructive. feels like i'll just trip it over some stage props.

had to string these screws through wires so they can remain in a certain shape. but gosh, they are heavy! screws are heavy!! made 6 of these, 3 for each side.

then i cut some silver hair out of my chui wig and bunned it. twined the wires around. they have to be crossed over so that the weight of the screws put them in place. still, it didn't stop it from slipping in front on day 2. bleahs.

ooh and i tried to wear it. such an artistically shadowed photo of me. i didn't shop it! not bad for my zipai skills.

cosfest XI: ACM

ok, acm is finally over. i can't remember when this long drawn battle started, but i can finally have a 'normal' life again. chionging for half a year is definitely straining mentally and physically. the amount of poisonous gas i have absorbed is making me dumb, and my injuries are gonna take a hell of a time to heal.

even though many things didn't work, we missed some beats, i think i'm still quite proud of our final work. imagine having only 2 person work out this entire monster!! that's already quite an accomplishment. we have so much props we almost had to call a lorry to carry everything over but i'm glad my er zi came to the rescue with his gigantic van *_*

you should have seen how the 4 of us heaved the monster downstairs and squashed it in the elevator. it was such morbid work. and we shifted everything at like 530am in the morning and reached DTE 7plus to repair the whole chunk. our LEDs were all broken so we had to call for emergency help. khai's parents were really supportive and helped us fixed so many things!! acks.

for day 2, participated in the final cure walk with the acm representatives. i'm at 4.55mins!
