i went to ooyama today but i didn't take any pictures. still, i feel like blogging about it because i seemed to have found something awesome.
first up, there's TONS of wet market/supermarket around. but i still feel that 100yen shop is cheaper so whenever i go to those shops my eyes will zoom for those below 100yen. and i managed to buy canned food at 100yen (still cheaper by 4-5yen lol), and salad leaves for 58yen.
then there's this 105yen shop which sells pots, pans, bottles, etc!! sugoi! i managed to buy my frying pan here... which really works! yay! now i can fry stuff. feels like i'm unlocking some abilities here.

then i saw a 10yen cd shop. YES 10yen only. but it's mostly singles. i searched for the most familiar title and bought the mai hime one. there's 3 songs inside. oh well. i saw glay and koda kumi, but i just bought the one with the nicest cd cover. haha.

and then there's diy shops selling buttons, yarns, threads, diy (you know those japanese fabric kind of protection charms? about 1000yen though) stuff. i really really wanted to buy them but they are all so expensive. speaking of which, i met a lady here who thought that my scarf was cute. today i went out with a scarf on my head. i thought it was normal, but apparently when i went home today, the station uncle also thought the scarf was cute. and both of them even said the same things - '日本人似てる!' (you look like a japanese). hahaha interesting. i had a looong chat with the uncle till my train came.
will visit ooyama again! the yukatas are all so nice there. and i finally bought my toe socks for 210yen. next is my geta, yukata and bag!

though akihabara was a bit traumatizing for me at the end, i still managed to get some stuff!
my long sought-after valkyrie profile ost!! (¥2625) the figurines of lenneth are like about ¥6000-¥9000 (-_-`) so expensive...

and some figurines. i bought tsuna only because he cost ¥50. haha. lelouch is ¥500 and squall is ¥350. hooray! i found the cheapest squall around! the rest were all like ¥500 - ¥700.

lastly, nana stickers. i got the punk nana, thank goodness! lucky!

the next day frank arrived!
it was raining but we still went to shop around at some anime buildings near ikebukuro. turns out there's a 8 (or 9?)storey high building called ANIMATE... selling TONS of stuff (dvds, cds, ost, manga, posters, merchandise, etc etc whatever fans could ever wish for). and just next to them are shops with random stuff that you have to dig into to find what you want.

and lastly, my handphone! for about ¥17640 and no cancellation fees. i think i kinda know the handphone stuff quite well now, for all the 3 subscribers. 815T from softbank!

ok so part 3 of buy and buy lots lots... my books!
the books here are so super duper cheap. so i managed to grab 3 guides.
first one is valkyrie profile silmeria for ¥150, and my ff8 guide for ¥300.


then is my ff8 story book for ¥150 too! WHEEE i love this so much!


bought cosmode for around ¥400 too. it's more of a backdated issue that's why it's so cheap. but japanese sure know how to protect their books. all of them look so new!


and their mangas... ¥100 each. gosh. i wish i could bring all of them home but so far i've only bought one. lots of people are know buy mangas in a set... cos it's so darn cheap. so here's the last book of angel sanctuary.

for part 2! the futon i bought at olympic. about the cheapest i could find (¥3980), unless i get the kids set... which i really wanted to. and the pillow was mighty expensive, thought that since mom wanted it as a souvenie, might as well splurge a little... (¥1980). as well as the pillowcase (¥398). GAAh. feels like i was cheated a bit. blanket is the silk one from china. ooooohh my best companion.

here's my rice cooker from the recycled shop too. it can cook rice and steam stuff, and all you need to do is put it in a microwave oven. simple! (¥600!)

even comes with measuring cup and scoop.

since i'm so bored... i went to take pictures of all the interesting i've bought. let's start with the groceries.
i have an entire row of sauce. from the left: soba sauce (¥104), shoyu sauce (¥207), olive oil (¥298), oyster sauce (¥104), pepper (¥104), salt (¥71).

most are from the ¥99 (after tax ¥104) shop... gahhh and if they are not it means i've overspent on it (-_-`)
ooh i found my soba and its sauce from that shop too!

some more foodies. milk (¥197) bread (¥108) pasta sauce (¥470 - omg it's so expensive could have gotten it at the ¥99 store...)
