161005 DDM, Ilsan

OMG it’s already mid week. Does time pass faster when you are jobless and enjoying?! Well anyway it was one big shopping trip for me today. Woke up at 11am and had a pudding for breakfast cos Mr K says they were getting out to pick me. As it turns out, I had to wait for almost 1.5hrs before they came over =_= the plan for today was to head to DDM with Eki to get the rest of the parts we need for the Taoist costume, then travel to Ilsan to meet up with the rest. Mr Gold and Mr K will go separately to Yongsan to fix their 3D printer and meet a really famous prop maker at Ilsan.

So we reached around 2pm and had bbq lunch at Semaeul Ssikdang (Yongin has a branch too). Then we shopped around the building just next to the textile centre. It turns out that the basement had ongoing sales, and I swooped 3 bra sets at once. They were going for only 4,000 won. I couldn’t believe it – were they missing a zero? The quality was good and the best thing is it’s WIRELESS!!! I love wireless bra. I’m regretting not picking up more sets now… they were also selling a pack of 10x undies for 15,000, but I’m more into those awesome satin/lace bras. There was also Jill Stuart shirts going for just 20-30k!!! Down from the original price of 148k. WOW. I would have swept all of them if I’m a guy, but I just bought one in the end. Hehe.

Met up with Eki around 3.30pm, then we traveled around the textile centre for our cloth. Turns out that we both love all things sparkly and blingy, but since a lot of jobs were paid and not for stage purposes, it was hard to spam blings on them (would be too out of reference). While walking around, we bumped into Tasha in her plain form. Not a surprise she doesn’t recognize me, given we last met in 2010. Not a surprise too that I was completely ignored, so I just stood behind Eki while they chatter away.

We has a quick drink at a café, before taking a taxi down to Ilsan (30k won for the ride, thankfully I can claim it, haha!). Waited for the 2 misters before we had dinner at Mapo Calmeggi, this bbq place with an egg pan all around. You can also dip the meat in cheese, and they give Dwaengjang Jjige as service. Yummmyyyy just that 2 bbqs in a row is too much for me, I can already feel my +2kg tummy bulging. 

Had quite a long team talk on the way home, and I’m feeling sleepy now.

And so I rested for a few days after quitting my job and flew off to Korea on Tuesday night. It was a good thing I recovered because I was down with sore throat and flu just 2 days before, and I was so scared I would be quarantined after reaching Korea. Ugh. Glad I didn’t carry any zika virus over. BTW I did fall sick (caught a flu) on the same day I went out to get tb and got bitten by a mosquito. Can still remember that Sunday vividly. Bleahs..

In any case, I touched down an hour later than scheduled, as there were some delays in flying off while leaving Shanghai. We were supposed to go Dongdaemon to get cloth but ended up just going back to our office, then our new home to rest.

Part of the reason I was so excited is also because I have a new apartment in Korea! I do think it was quite inconvenient to live with Mr K’s mom and sis (it is always inconvenient to live with strangers), especially with the 2 puny rowdy maltese who seem determined to cause a racket every time we make a tiny movement. T_T

No pictures yet, as I wanna arrange and pack everything before I take any pictures. Quite unfortunately, my schedule was pretty packed for the first few days so I was unable to clean my apartment. But, I wanna show off the lovely laptop Mr K got for me as an early bday present! So pretty!! And it’s said to be the slimmest laptop ever <33333 o:p="">

The next day, we got up past noon and had brunch as Hansot, a bento takeaway place. 

Didn’t do anything much particularly, except to install lots of stuff for my new laptop, hurhur. Went down to visit Eki’s café with Keum-ssi / Mr Gold in the evening. There was a jam when we departed around 7plus and we only managed to reach around 9pm T_T. Still, we managed to have dinner at a bbq place near her café, then went for refreshments at her café.

I miss Eki’s hongcha latte! Though this time, I tried out her matcha. It was a little sweet but still yummy. Unfortunately, I poured half of it on myself in the midst of our chatter and was smelling of milk. Thank goodness Eki gave me something to change into if not I would be drenched in matcha all the way home. Had so much to talk about, we only left around 2am. So super sleepy by then.

On Fri, I was supposed to get out early with Mr Gold and Eki to get cloth, but I slept till 11+ and we only managed to reach DDM by 3pm. In the end. Eki needed to do her post write-up so we didn’t meet in the end. Fortunately, we were able to buy all the cloth that I needed, from 1 single shop, for the CN drama/game. 

Also caught a pretty sun set on the way home!

Phew! We then got back to Yongin to have Shabu with Mr K and Jeonghoon.

woke up to a home-cooked breakfast~ prepared by dear namchin

well he whipped up the eggs and the sausage - the rest was either heated up/microwaved or pre-prepared. hahahah. still, i had an awesome meal.

not much went on today, most of the time was spent in the office. went down to the traders emart for dinner, and shopped around. there was a lot of test-eating which kyungmin referred to as 'matsuri' because you get to eat so many kinds of food for free. hurhur. so we went around to eat all of them. the place was built like a warehouse and the concept is similar to ikea. at the end of your shopping you can eat at their cafe, which sells delicious pasta/pizza at incredibly cheap prices (a whole pizza that's like b3 size in length for 14,800 won and baked pasta for 5000+ won.

after the dinner fest, we went back and worked a little. managed to finish the bag on the thigh of arisha's.

round 10pm, we watched mad max at namchin's theatre room. crazy show. slept right after... needed to wake early the next day!

30 Jul

and so we had to set off early cos namchin had all these 2nd hand deals for his virtual gear oculus and the photo printer. so we went to digital media city, then another place (can't remember where) before our final stop at dong dae mon for cloth shopping. needed to get cloth for valkyrie profile, and finally settled on this thick blue pvc at 11,000 won per yard. ughhh so expensive... also bought some buckles for arisha's skirt belt.

it was pretty hard to move around with all the cloth, so we decided to cut the trip short and head home. saw these huge line figures just outside doota mall.

since there was a straight bus home from myeongdong, we went over there and found korean buffet~ wheeee~~ lunch buffet at 12,900 won. and the best kind of buffet you can ever have at such a price~~

and there's my favourite ice persimmons at the bottom too. what luck!

headed home around 5pm, and finished off arisha's skirt (by attaching the belts and the buckles we got)

141220 Avenue France

made plans to meet lucy and mong the next day, but i had brunch with dear namchin first.

we took almost 2-3hrs to reach the cafe avenue because we took the slower bus, then realised we could take mrt, and missed our stop. =_=

well at least we reached the place.

after looking at all the restaurants we settled at porkook~ a little cozy corner

ordered the creamy pork and bbq cutlets. it's super nice at the first few bites but it slowly got a bit hard to finish later on... best to share with someone! still, it's not too bad - will eat it again xD

we had apple dessert anyway despite being full from the meal cos it looked so tantalizing...
i think this place is called chocolate factory or something.

they placed a cuddly bear at the corner.. so cute!

and our cheesecake apple~ i don't know how the apple is made.. it doesn't seem to have a core! still nice anyway!

we then took the train to meet the rest. we were at the end of the train!

and so i met mong first at dongdaemon~ went to look at the giant fancy dome. it's actually an artsy shopping mall and opened now~

lucy arrived almost 2hrs late! =_= we went to eat octopus with roe for dinner after that~~ mussel soup provided too~ treat by lucy since she came late. oops!

see the mint leaf on the left with the yellow glob? that's actually yellow roe. i wished they'd give it without the leaf. uhh.

we went back to the dome again to see the white flowers at night~

mong brought along expensive tororo pudding and we found a place inside the mall to eat them. pretty!

and we headed home around 8+. was a great gathering!

131231 Countdown

so in the morning we went to dongdaemon (finally) and shopped for some materials.

we had cheesy dalkgalbi for lunch/dinner after walking around. it was not too bad!

the night view of dongdaemon is pretty cool, and there seem to be a nice new mysterious structure! too bad it wasn't opened so we couldn't really go in.

there's some nicely lit decorated buildings also.

and i found some really nice mini pots!! seemed good as a present! and so super cute!!!

we rested a bit at a smoothie shop, and mr 00 fell asleep. =_=zZZZZz

after that we continued to myeongdong to meet the others

we rested at osulloc green tea with hyun bin first before dman, mr gold and ark came over. then we went to have dinner. a lot of places were already closed by then (10+), but we found a kimchi stew place that's opened till late, and pretty good!!

after that, time to battle the crowd...

and last pic of 2013! with my 2 favourite kongs! i simply love 00's expression. lolol. it must be the 'oh god i'm crazy for squeezing with the crowd but wth!'

by the time we managed to squeeze further in... and i couldn't even see the stage, the countdown began... 

the fireworks could all be bought on the streets, and it actually looked pretty dangerous cos they were shooting it in the trees... anyway the crowd dispersed pretty quick after. since i pretty much didn't wanna stay out at the pc rooms like last year, me and 00 went back first while the rest went to a game room.

we ran to catch the last bus at gangnam........

but the bus didn't stop at our stop!!! so we waited for the next one, which stopped at a stand opposite ours.

and the last bus simply just went past our stop.

so we ended up sleeping at cafe bene till daylight, where the bus was supposed to come around 530am. but we realised that's when the first bus departs from the interchange, and it will only reach at 630am. so we rested some more at krispy kreme. oh well. and we slept well past the noon on our first day of 2014.

we had pizza hut for lunch/dinner, and since it was 1+1, we called the other guys in to eat. and this was what we ordered for like 6 of us. really crazy! but i had wanted to try this clown pocket thingy cos it looked interesting. it was a disappointment actually because the edges were filled with cheese powder and not the flowy cheese, and it was sweet too. dman didn't really like it. oh well...

still, it was a step from 2013 to 2014, in mandarin 13 to 14. with my love *_* i'm happy.
