161213 Gangnam JS Kitchen

so... i'm kinda here again. we randomly chose a place for dinner and the ambience is actually pretty awesome, with cubicle seating. it's called JS kitchen.

ordered prawn pasta and crab risotto

unfortunately it's pretty pricey, at over 17k won for the dishes each, and you actually get tired of the taste after a while. bad choice of the day, and might not come back again.

there was a waffle cafe nearby and as we were too full, i refrained from eating further and only got a drink to share. seeing as how everyone was having waffles, i'll definitely come back again to have one next time!!!

in any case we parted ways as mr kong needed to meet someone else, and gave me his card to do some shopping. i bought like 4 tops and a muffler for less than 60k won. so proud of myself.

while resting, a random manhwa artist approached me and chatted, and asked if i could meet her another day at her studio. she was a trainee, and we exchanged numbers since it was impossible for me to meet her then (at like 10pm+???). she contacted me but i was advised not to pick her calls or message her, so i flew her kite on sunday for the gangnam meeting. everyone says that it was suspicious that she didn't even know what is facebook and doesn't use social media (a cartoonist ought to use this for marketing purpose at least), and she was using a super ancient flip phone model, so even if she does look decent, i should not meet her.

i'm so sorry dear jisu if you happen to see this, but i don't want to be kidnapped randomly too!!

161210-11 Pangyo Myeongdong

the next 2 days was basically a full day of shopping for my winter coat, since mine is just too thin to withstand the crazy cold.

we had lunch with JH at giheung, at a random kimchi stew shop as we were drawn in by the smell. it turned out to be pretty awesome, and we were so full after just the small pot! the omelette is nice, but 6k is not that worth it. it's half in ketchup cos mr kong doesn't like ketchup. lol.

after that, JH sent us to pangyo, and we started our shopping at the outlets. i think i tried on more than 20 jackets lol and eventually narrowed down to the one from beanpole, its competitor and NBA.

at shinsegae, we took a short dinner break as we were still full, but tired from all the walking.

saw a funny shop called beli sian. hahah. like my mood sio.

the next day we also managed to head to myeongdong and shop at the lotte outlet to compare the prices.

we ate at the basement level of the dept store, and randomly chose a salmon chirashi, which turned out to be MUCH BETTER than expected. i say this, cos i tend to think restaurants at dept store are expensive and give little, but this one - the salmon chunks were huge and made up for like 70% of the bowl, and i've never seen so little rice. it was heavenly!!! and the roe topping! i didn't even mind the beansprouts!

or maybe cos it was near closing time (9-10pm), which was why the ajummas gave us a lot?

anyway i saw another fila down that i quite like which actually makes me look slim and has magnet catches, but didn't get it cos it was a little too thin. in the end, we checked all the prices online and bought them from Naver shopping, cos they are more than 50bucks cheaper.... hahah.

and it was sent to me 2 days later.. whee~! here's my nba jacket!

wore this out to dinner with mr kong's childhood gathering, and we had wagyu buffet (litterally just wagyu being served).

didn't think the pink fur would look so pretty, and the jacket is actually pretty light and warm, despite the many pockets and zippers. aside from the fact that it gets dirty easily and attracts dust, it really is an awesome piece.

161206 Juno Ilsan

so i went to the academy twice, first for a hair dye session to cover the growing roots, done by an american lecturer, and the second to get my hair cut by all the training students.

in fact, some of the students are actually salon owners themselves, so i'm not really sure what they are doing here. haha. here's my hair before i get them all cut up...! my hair!!!

and while the dye is in the works...

and my new hair cut after sitting at the salon for like 5hours since 10am, to 3pm, with the training director.

not too sure about my new cut, i think i look weird. hahaha. maybe because of the curls at the end.

rushed off to meet eki at her cafe with mr kong and we had sushi buffet at a nearby restaurant. or not that near, our taxi took like 20mins. woah. the place is almost the same as the one i went to previously at yongin, but the sushi is all on a conveyor belt.

we then headed back to her cafe with hyun bin and chatted till super late, and mr gold had to come pick us up XD

161130 Juno Hair

thanks to the seminar i help translate for in singapore, i got to meet both hair directors again for lunch in korea!

visited juno today and that salon is really unlike any others i've seen. according to Director Yoo Mi, she says that it followed a foreign interior design and designed to let customers enjoy and be comfortable while they are doing their hair. look at how gorgeous it is!

yes, there's a bar! (or cafe)

they serve tea in such a cute style.

hope i can do my hair there sometime!
we went over to visit Director Sun Joo and had lunch at a kalguksu place super fast, as she was attending to some guests. didn't manage to see lyn as she has some family issues. was told to come back to help with a demonstration, and for someone with so much free time, why not!

161129 Gangnam

another trip to gangnam, and it won't be the last..... hahaha. met up with pion and ark, and we had cheese galbi here.

also managed to have red velvet cocoa at coffee bean! so glad it's still available here. after that we stopped at shake shack to see what's the deal there. it's a burger franchise from US, and apparently the queue is crazy...

menu for whoever's interested.

and then we got home. had to do my posting and dear waited for me like that.

he was snoring.. i swear he can sleep in all kinds of positions. =_=

161128 Caribbean Everland

so guess where we're going in the middle of winter... WATER PARK.
hahah with the grace of mr manyong, we got some free tickets enough for the whole team to go, but in the end only 5 of us went, which is still fun!

had some food before we went in. it's expensive, so always remember to eat before you come...

and here we are!

hahah look at mr kong and ark coming down the slides. hehe. love the big slides!

and we're going down too~!!

lazing around the lazy pool..

after going around the lazy pool twice and the slide for like 5 times.. and more saunas, we changed and headed for everland.

we're at everland! on the cable car. that's ark at the back. hahah.

of cos, t-express is something we shouldn't miss here. we caught some animal shows as well. there's a christmas twist to some of the shows we've watched before.

we then had a few snacks and it was soon night time. christmas night at everland!

and there's a santa claus just near the exit!! JH felt embarrassed and didn't join in here. we have no full group photo!!! T_T

but it's ok, i just need my dear's face. lovelove.

and finally dinner outside of everland..~
