151227 Comic World

and it's comic world again! this time we're just going over to support skasha, who will be performing the musical prince of tennis with other selected members (not from csl). didn't have anything to eat for the whole morning, so we had to make do with the street food at the event.

a word of advice... never try to come empty stomache. the food is almost 3-5times more expensive than those you get outside the event... the sandwich we had cost twice as much =_= oh gawd. but no choice, still had to eat it to calm my poor stomach.

we walked around the event fair before going over to the queue for the performance. yes, there was a freaking queue. i think we waited more than half an hour to go in cos there was just too many people. it was crazy. there was over 10 performances and 70% of them were love live. you can't imagine the number of fans who were shouting and singing along with the song when the performance came on. but for us, we just cheered for skasha and went off once the prince of tennis performance was over.

it was pretty good! too bad the fans didn't have the hots for PoT now if not i think they should have gotten some prizes. first prize went to onepiece or something i think, but we didn't stay to see the performance. there's some blogs on the teams that went there that you can check out here.

and we caught skasha just after his performance end. prince!

anyway we took a train to meet a buyer along the way to collect some photography equipment, then we had samgaetang for dinner around gwanghwamun. wanted to shop at my favourite place in jongno but i forgot the station name and we ended up going to myeongdong instead for some shopping before we headed home.

at night we watched the little prince. namchin fell asleep as usual. i think the soundtrack is pretty lovely.

131229 Comic World

actually because we were preparing for comic world, i stayed home the whole of saturday (28th) to work on karma costume. but in the end, the shoulder wings couldn't be made in time and i went back to doing sivir. i had wanted to debut karma very much too. oh well.

so anyway we went down about 1pm, after a much delayed decision. i had to be make-up ready in like 30mins. jeez. we took a car down with the 2 kongs, since we had so much luggage due to jayce...

car was shaking too much but i managed to take a clear photo when it stopped! km says that i finally look decent for once (cos i have make up). grrrr.

got changed quickly when we reached.. and here's us!

our dear jayce. the CW staff were going around checking if we have authorized wristbands on and they chose to pick on our big guy. seriously, can't they read the atmosphere!?

and km was shining with his LED armour

it was probably 0 or 2 degrees. but i found myself walking outside just fine. in my super mini dress. but it was quite sad that we didn't manage to take a lot of photos, because most of the people were alreay gone by then... by at least i managed to find a decent group photo (with 2 other random people joining in) for our LOL group.

also managed to see sexaaay lucy and kawaiii rose during the event! not so bad for 15min cosplay. TwT

after that, we went to a tonkatsu shop to eat, and had drinks with our superstar jungu for the night. i learnt a lot of new drinking games, shall try it next time with SMLJ. and jungu says he's working on a new drama with junki... what!?!? can't offend him now. my junki!!!!

anyway, it was pretty fun!

130720-21 Comic World #117

21st was supposed to be my Topik but i decided to forfeit it to perform with the team. after much consideration... i mean how often do you get to perform with the team at Comic World? and i think 00 spent quite some effort in order to make this happen for me and the team too. and i figured i could always take the test in Singapore when i'm back.

and i'm glad i made that decision in the end!! (not that i even studied for the test up until the day before anyway...)

we went on both days, and on Saturday i probably only worn my costume for an hour before i took everything off. so didn't get a lot of pictures taken. the team were rehearsing in the open, but there were random bouts of drizzle happening so it was really irritating.

this is like the only photo i managed to find that day.

and yes i'm saber again! *surprise surprise*

on sunday, we woke up early (actually we woke up early for both days), like 7-8+ am and set off for our competition day ahead. we could still managed to cram a bit of rehearsal before we went on stage. but before that it seems that fate zero was also the mascot for this event so we went on stage, took some photos and presented prizes to the crowd. one of the audience even gave me some sausage sticks, so cute. korean audience is unexpectedly responsive and encouraging!

so here's our performance!

the other teams ALL did dancing. wow. i guess that contributes to our winning factor. but there's 2 teams i'd like to mention that's watch worthy. this dance is REALLY awesome. almost like a korean boy band. i kept watching it over and over again and i don't get sick of it. it's like the best dance i've seen on cosplay stage that's really damn well coordinated.

and this one is like a korean girl band. they literally performed SNSD song anyway and their clothes change was pretty awesome.

you can check out the other performance videos here. i've pretty much koped all my vids from here anyway.

and we came in first!!!

we went on stage to receive the prize. the funniest thing was everyone thought skasha was a girl so when he spoke, the crowd went wild!!!

hahahhahah!!

and here's our team's winning photo!!

and our beloved trophy.

and my beloved. muwahahw. i still think this is the best prize for me. i like this photo a lot *__*

we then went for dinner at a chinese restaurant. and it wasn't too bad!

Day 3: Busan Comic World

woke up early to get ready to go bexco... but because there were still several things that were incomplete so we stayed till 1pm to finish up and check out.

the event was at bexco, a rather large convention centre. kind of like our suntec city in a way.

ready to be dressed~ i did quite a simple base make up for saber.

there isn't much photos that was taken because ta-sem was busy taking videos... so here it is~

i was actually quite disappointed that i had to go out with an unfinished sword. oh well... better next time... here's waky and me - waky looking crazy as usual. hahahha. i think he's the one who suffered the most, having to finish his costume till morning, and cosplaying the next day. then again, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE SO LAST MINUTE... hmphhhhh!

cosplaying in korea is a new experience for me. firstly, they don't seem to welcome cosplayers that much. all cosplayers had to be registered, and you have to pay additional for entering. the money is used for clearing rubbish at the end of the day since cosplayers generate quite a lot of rubbish. tsk. however, they set up a pretty decent dressing room for us, so that's not so bad.

in busan, or rather in korea, there's not a lot of armoured cosplayers so passers by were pretty much awed by our berserker and shiny saber.

i watched a bit of the competition and most involved fighting. and they are all pretty good!!

we left about 5+ for dinner afterwards. in fact, we had to take the bus back to yong-in but because i didn't get to sightsee much i chose to stay another day and skip school xD in the end, all of us except jooa stayed because there was no seats left for the bus back... we had dinner at the interchange anyway, where their oden is pretty delicious.

then we checked in at a nearby motel - ta-sem and waky are pretty much dried out so they retired early for the day.

however since the night was still young, me and sy went over to the shopping district as well as the yeungdeungpo festival. just in time for the last day!

it's actually lantern displays, and we sort of had it at our chinese garden every year. it wasn't as big and as impressive as mentioned (or maybe cos it was the last day?) but it was still pretty nice.

we then went up to the busan tower since there's not much to do there! see the bulding at the back? that's lotte mall, where we will be heading next for shopping.

before we headed off, there was a heart-shaped seat so i dragged 00 to take a pic with me. hohohoh. but it was so bright so we can't really be seen properly. oh well.

and then it's off to the shopping street!

samsung even has their own clothes and fashion... wow.

there seemed to be some festival going on which was in the middle of being cleaned up when we reached. oh well.

look! my shop!

within the mall itself there was some nice metallic cut-outs on display so i took a picture of it as well. laser cuts are not only trendy in fashion, but in buildings and displays too!

we took the train back to our motel, since it cost us almost 20-30k just to take the taxi... never believe the koreans when they say it's near. tsk.

Day 5 Comic World

on sunday, we headed down to the comic world.

it seems that it wasn't particularly interesting for them to attend comic world, and it was not recommended for me to cosplay there, because of the weather, the crowd and also of the potentially dangerous photos that could be taken. T_T

in the end though, there were 2 huge inner hall where it was pretty warm inside with all the booths.

caruto spotted! he's still as cute as ever. his paw paw is so cuuuuuuute.

honestly there's nothing for me to buy, that's why i always don't visit all these. however, i saw a lot of kurobasu and saber goods, so i thought i'll get them for smlj instead. and i did manage to get quite some stuff, since 50% of the booths were almost all kurobasu. the rest was like LoL (why is it under comics though??), SAO, fate stay night etc so sad. probably only saw like 1 booth selling FF, and only FF13.

there's also another hall that's crazy packed with cosplayers, where performances were happening at. wanted to watch but can't really get a decent view. d'gray man was performing at that time, and it looked really nice with all their moving backgrounds!

went outside to walk a little but it was just freaking cold....! i wonder how these cosplayers cn tahan!! they are wearing almost the same amount of clothes as if it's singapore weather. gosh. and some had lots of skin showing. O_O. my respect!!!

caught some csl members on the loose! actually, they were gonna shoot with ta-sem. here's nakyu and lunabelle, and aryeong in the second photo. they are doing characters from cyphers. kyaaaaa i like nakyu <3 a="a" cosplays="cosplays" csl="csl" href="http://cafe.naver.com/kcslab" more="more" of="of" see="see">here
. the top banner shows all the characters they did for cyphers >.<

we also met some csl cafe members at the event, and seonmin, the representative with jungu from amaterasu. it was a bit weird getting introduced to everyone (as sivir and sg rep... guuuh...) because i have no idea what to say =_= one of the cafe fans even bought cakes for us. *w*

we then had dinner at a bbq place again. there's so many of us (i think 17 or 18, with 3-4 cafe fans) that we have to settle down in batches. ooh and it was so good to see mr gogi again. he always has interesting things to say. and i must say, he has a black hole for a stomach. that's waaaaay too much meat he was eating.

we moved to macs for desserts later (is it a tradition to always have dessert though?) since it was about the only place that can accomodate so many of us.

and jimin's cat was going crazy sniffing all our bbq so it was time to feed it. kyaaa! it's such a well-groomed, pretty white cat!!! meowwwwwww~~

and i don't know why, but after a while they started to dress aryeong in a strange get up. maybe because he was the youngest there. poor thing.

and jimin said he would like to try it so he was next. lol.

but ta-sem is the cutest cat there. no resistance at all.

and that was our night~
